2 StandardAero SAFECRAFT A portfolio of safety technologies focused on incident prevention Operators are able to select items from the SAFECRAFT portfolio based on individual aircraft configuration, mission requirements and budget. The SAFECRAFT portfolio of STC-certified safety technologies is offered either as a fullyinstalled solution or as a retrofit kit, depending on the items selected. New technologies and options will be added to the SAFECRAFT portfolio in response to customer demand and future changes in regulatory requirements.
3 BLR FASTFIN Tail rotor enhancement and stability system The System is available for all models of AS350, and certified performance is available for the B1, B2, B3 and H125/B3e FastFin uses advanced airflow management to increase the effectiveness of the AS350 anti-torque system for significant increases to hover load and stability. It does not modify the vertical fin, but is comprised of an Advanced Tailboom Aerodynamic Cowling (ATAC), a Tailboom Strake and Vortex Generators. Additional benefits will include a reduction in pilot workload, easier control in precision hover-hold operations and better management of the yaw axis when hovering in challenging crosswinds Up to 10% increase in available right pedal Up to 130 lb useful load increase in OGE hover CRASH-RESISTANT FUEL TANK OEM-approved retrofit for AS350 & EC130 primary fuel tank All-new modernized fuel retention technology Critical components relocated to enhance safety and ease of maintenance Slightly greater usable fuel capacity than the legacy fuel tank, at 144 U.S. Gal (545 L) Designed in co-operation with Robertson Fuel Systems LLC Enhanced safety Bladder-equipped FAA FAR Part 27 crash-resistant design Self-sealing breakaway valve to prevent fuel leakage Vent system roll-over protection Vent system flame arrestor Crash-resistant recessed sump drain valve Compatible with Airbus Helicopters and Onboard Systems cargo hooks/swings FAA STC SR02492AK approved; EASA STC approved ENERGY ATTENUATING SEATING Offering optimum occupant protection in the worst-case scenario StandardAero is in the process of developing an STC for the retrofit of energy attenuating seating into older AS350s. When installed, this equipment will bring aircraft seating up to the same safety standards as new-build aircraft. Energy attenuating seat retrofits will be available for pilot, co-pilot and passenger seating.
