Please note that unit address 0 is reserved for MASTER Configuration. Example: Unit address 0 => Settings = 0000 (Master) Unit address 5 => Settings = 0101 (Slave 5) Unit address 15 => Settings = 1111 (Slave 15)

29 Hardware Installation Communication bus connection: A 2 way twisted pair cable is used as the communication bus. Recommended cable for communication bus is a pair of screened & shielded, twisted single core wire with core diameter of 0.5mm to 1.0mm.

63 Troubleshooting Guide SYMPTOMS PROBLEM CAUSE CHECKS TO BE MADE SOLUTIONS Powered-on on air conditioner. Green LED of Gateway turn ON. Units do not appear in NIM PC software. 1. Wiring fault in communication bus. Check the com. Bus is properly connected and same polarity between NIM PC gateway and NIM boards Switch off all the connected units, correct the wiring problem and switch it back again.

Insufficient power supply to NIM PC Gateway. (When Run in Notebook PC) Check the serial RS232 cable is properly connected to NIM PC Gateway & Serial port of PC Supply external DC power supply (6-12VDC) to NIM PC Gateway through CN2 connector
