2 Digital disruption Digital technologies have disrupted several industries and are starting to transform the way energy is being generated and distributed and how energy utilities are interacting with their customers. We have been talking about smart grid for the last decade but now increasingly fragmented distribution networks are having to deploy smart technologies through necessity. About the conference Spark is a new event in the Energy Ireland portfolio and is a major Digital Energy conference and exhibition aimed at the Irish and wider European digital energy audience.
