On Tuesday, September 20, 2016, Ms. Shinjini Menon (Director, General Rate Case for SCE) and Ms. Dawn Anaiscourt (Director, CPUC Regulatory Affairs for SCE) met with certain Commission Advisors, as noted below. Ms. Menon and Ms. Anaiscourt met with these Commission Advisors to provide a general overview of SCE s Test Year 2018 General Rate Case Application (Application). This meeting lasted from approximately 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (2) Commissioner Carla Peterman s Advisor Mr. Ehren Seybert, Energy Advisor. This meeting lasted from approximately 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. 1

This meeting lasted from approximately 1:30 p.m. to 2:10 p.m. (4) Commissioner Liane Randolph s Advisors Ms. Rachel Peterson, Chief of Staff, and Ms. Leuwam Tesfai, Advisor for Energy & Water Ratemaking & Legal Matters. This meeting lasted from approximately 3:00 p.m. to 3:40 p.m. During each of the referenced meetings, SCE reviewed and referred to the handout attached to this notice. SCE discussed its plans to maintain and modernize its infrastructure to support California policy goals of safety, reliability and clean distributed resources. SCE also addressed its efforts to maintain affordable rates for its customers. SCE initiated the communications. The meetings took place at the San Francisco offices of the Commission at 505 Van Ness Avenue in San Francisco. Written materials were provided, as described in this notice and attached hereto. 6 SCE 2018 GRC HIGHLIGHTS Maintain safety and reliability of grid o o o Sustained efforts in grid maintenance and infrastructure replacement to make progress towards steady state replacement rates. Pole Replacement - Approximately 33% reduction in pole replacement unit forecasts compared to 2015 recorded due to pole loading assessment methodology updates and intrusive pole inspection failure criterion. Exploring opportunities to reduce costs without compromising safety using alternatives to pole replacement. Overhead Conductor Program - Upgrade small wires and install additional fuses to address downed-wire safety risks. Build the 21st century grid to meet customer and policymaker expectations by: Updating infrastructure, such as 4kV circuits and substations to address capacity, reliability, and equipment obsolescence; Adding distribution and substation automation to monitor and control grid equipment in real-time; Installing communication networks, such as expanding the fiber optic and field area networks to support grid automation; and Developing improved technology platforms for grid planning, grid operations, outage management and grid interconnections. o The new system design and technology will provide multiple benefits improve safety and reliability or prevent them from degrading as the grid faces different operating paradigms with DERs, increase DER integration capacity, enable DER adoption, and enhance ability to use DERs to provide grid services. o Deploy these upgrades in two tranches - Improve safety and reliability of the worst performing distribution circuits, and Enable DER integration on circuits with expected or desired DER growth. Customer Service Re-platform project to replace aged and obsolete customer care and billing systems, to avoid system failure and inability to recover in a timely manner TY forecast includes over $85 million in O&M savings and approximately $200 million of capital expenditure savings to be achieved from operational efficiency and productivity improvement initiatives. Updated Results of Operations (RO) model to improve revenue requirement estimation and user interfaces o Addressed Commission directives on depreciation analysis. o Proposed continuation of Tax and Pole Memo Account. 2
