ShowNet is a comprehensive demonstration of the Interop and has always been recognized as an important occasion to verify interoperability between multi-vendor equipment. Exhibitors from all over the world demonstrated their latest technologies and products, and tested their solutions in a real network environment. Huawei showcased the open SDN architecture composed of CE8860 and CE6800 at the exhibition, and verified the Virtual Extensible LAN (VXLAN) and Ethernet VPN (EVPN) features of the switches, which can be used to establish SDN networks within and between data centers. During the demonstration, Huawei switches also interoperated with products from other vendors to establish EVPN networks successfully. 5

The testing lasted for two months and tested data center network solutions of multiple vendors including Huawei. Huawei s data center hybrid overlay SDN solution underwent the benchmark testing for SDN solutions applicable to data centers. The solution met requirements defined in the data center SDN solution testing specifications (version 2.0) released by the SDN/NFV Industry Alliance and was awarded the Best Practice Award of The data center hybrid overlay SDN solution is composed of Huawei CE12800 and CE68000 data center switches, CE12800V virtual switch, and Agile Controller, an SDN controller. The solution uses a cloud platform to implement unified resource application and provisioning, shortening the service provisioning time. Moreover, it enables quick and flexible deployment of differentiated value-added services on a per tenant basis. 6

9 CloudEngine Switches Passed OpenFlow1.3 Certification the Earliest In Sep. 2015, Huawei CloudEngine switches passed the OpenFlow1.3 conformance certification test conducted in BII Group s Global SDN Certified Testing Center. They are among the first switches that have passed OpenFlow1.3 conformance certification. All the tests for OpenFlow v1.3 conformance certification were completed using OFsuite, the world s first tool suite covering all ONF OpenFlow v1.3 testing specifications. It provides automatic testing on network devices in the Global SDN Certified Testing Center, and also offers comprehensive monitoring and diagnosis functions, helping to modify and upgrade devices during testing. The test results show that the CE12816 supports TRILL-based networking with up to 512 nodes. In addition, the CE12816 implements TRILL-based line-speed forwarding for 768 x 10GE ports. This test is China s largest-scale full-frame 10GE port full mesh test and also the largestscale TRILL-based full mesh test. The CE12816 is currently the only data center switch that passed this test in China. This test further verifies that the CE12816 supports TRILL standards and provides industry-leading forwarding performance.
