2 Key Accomplishments (UI) Built wind sensor network Sensor installation on UI main campus o Additional sensors will be installed later this month or early next on the Kirkwood Community College Campus Communication software and database to store real-time data stream Data distribution system for data download/upload and real-time data views Installed various open source and proprietary web-based mapping environments Will support UI wind energy informatics classes Built wiki for wind energy system Will support UI wind energy certificate program

12 Piloted an open source drop box substitute own cloud software Alternative to Dropbox and similar services: Increase security (data stored on UI campus) Free Storage quotas are only limited by our available storage Data replication is automatic Increased file transfer sizes are supported (up to ~4GB per file)

13 Key Accomplishments ISU Web Portal - Setting up schema, navigation, and communication channels like intranet on the server. General Tools and Interface development - Setting up application server for development environment - SVN version control was set for software development - Setting up MYSQL database management system on the server - Developed a publication database and searching interface for EPSCoR all publications - Developed R PCA code and web interface. - Installed open source software Molecular Dynamics (LAMD) on the server. - Installed the Data Drive Document library (D3JS) which can be used to data processing - Other open sources like statistic software R and R packages were installed on the server

14 Key Accomplishments - ISU Developed online portal for performing data mining operations can be used for teaching or for research from respective groups. Used this portal for developing a teaching module for the periodic table. Capture relationships in the periodic table useful for teaching chemistry from HS to Univ.
