2 Situational Awareness View 2 The proposal for Situational Awareness View is for filtering and grouping contingencies o No notes or attachments are supported igrid displays have an underlying XML file that feeds the display o Exploring the option of updating the XML file based on the subscriptions that you maintain as part of RTCA Alarming o Your subscriptions would feed your own custom RTCA igrid display

3 Automating Studies Peak is planning to work with one of our customers to test the ability for you to automate topology changes due to outages in STNET studies Peak will provide you with the file format required to input data, you will be responsible for creating outage files in correct format. 3

4 Automation Considerations Updates to the file management tool Peak needs to figure out: o Shared Folder o Load data may need to include data for all entities so may not be available for automatic input in first trial 4

6 Voltage Stability Analysis 6 Voltage Stability Analysis in STNET allows the user o To stress any case to see where the limit of the system is by applying a custom scenario to predefined interfaces Network copy of current case Study case with contingencies applied Planning case o Get a precise idea of how much load can be added to the system before there is an invalid solution

7 VSA Custom Scenarios 7 Define Source Area(s) o Define specific units to include/exclude Define Sink Area (s) o Define specific loads to include/exclude Define an Interface o Define all lines that you want to monitor between source/sink Define maximum increase & iteration step size (MW) for stressing system

8 VSA Considerations Peak to define custom scenarios for you Need to figure out o If interfaces can be created for HAA only There is the ability to create interfaces via the UI, but it will probably get deleted after each new case is loaded into a clone o If custom display(s) needs to be created Can HAA users see others scenarios 8
