1 Apparel & Footwear Data Migration Argentis Consulting

2 Introduction This document contains the necessary information to prepare and execute data migration only for Apparel & Footwear data. Therefore, all standard data migration must be referred to SAP. Apparel & Footwear allows data migration of the following objects and tables: 1. Styles and Raw Materials. 2. Color Chart. 3. Styles colorways. 4. Styles size runs. 5. SKU - Item Master Data (DTW) Important: Scale types sizes must be create in Apparel & footwear before the data migration. Initial Settings Before performing data migration, the following setting must be initialized in the company database. The only MANDATORY setting is the apparel & footwear segmentation group. 1. Apparel & Footwear Segmentation groups. Create all apparel groups that will be used during data migration. Keep in mind that the internal code will be use in the style master sheet. Página 1

6 IMPORTANT NOTE: the vales specified above will need to be populated accordingly in the excel provided. You can also import them using the migration tool. Preparing the Templates Apparel & Footwear solution provides a default excel template to fill with necessary data and information on: Styles Color Library Scales and sizes Styles Color way Styles size run It is not limited to the above list; the migration tool can also migrate seasons, division, lines, etc. Therefore, these documents focus only this list. 1. Open de excel template provided with the migration package. 2. The file contains several sheets a. Style Master (style master code) b. Color Library (color master ) c. Scale Master (scale types) d. Size Master (size details by scale types) e. Style Color way (colors by styles) f. Model Size run (sizes by style) In order to setup the data, fill in the fields provided. There is a sample file in the migration package. Data Migration Procedure In order to start the data migration process, open the Apparel & footwear Migration Tool from the installation package. Connect to the SAP Company Database Página 5

Models - color way - size run Color Library In order to run data migration for the color library, go to Data User Defined Objects Add Data Browse for the excel template provided with the installation package under Excel File Select the Sheet name Color Library (the excel file holds all data) Select the UDO, in this case ARGNS_COLOR. Under child table leave it set to None. IMPORTANT: you can run multiple objects data migration if needed. Página 7

Scales and Sizes Scale types and sizes can be migrated at the same time. In order to run data migration for the scales and associated sizes, go to Data User Defined Objects Add Data: 1.

Select the excel template again. 2. Select the Sheet name Scale Master (the excel file holds all data), leave the childe table to NONE. 3. Select the UDO, in this case ARGNS_SCALE. 4. Click on Add data to process 5. In order to import the child tables, select the UDO, select ARGNS_SCALE again 6. Under child table select ARGNS_SIZE. 7. Click on Add data to process. Página 9

11 Styles, Styles-ColorWays and Styles-Sizerun Finally, once you have the color and styles libraries, you can run data migration for the styles and child information (sizes and colors). In order to run data migration for the for styles and child information, go to Data User Defined Objects Add Data: 1. Select the excel template again. 2. Select the Sheet name Style Master (the excel file holds all data). 3. Select the UDO, in this case ARGNS_MODEL,, leave the child table to NONE. 4. Click on Add data to process. 5. In order to import the child tables a. Select the sheet Style Color way b. Select the UDO, ARGNS_MODEL again 6. Under child table select ARGNS_SIZE 7. Click on Add data to process The data on the grid should be similar to the following screen shot: Also, add the child objects: MODEL_INST MODEL_VAR MODEL_FITT The procedure to run the entire data migration will be as follow.
