Introduction 1.1 Available services By using the system, you can: View, print, and download (for further processing) your account statements (booking statements) Query your daily account balance, your available balance, and your account turnover Get information about your account movements Set up domestic payment orders Set up foreign currency payment orders Import and send to the bank for processing domestic and foreign currency batch payment orders View electronic messages sent by the Bank (payment orders not processed, received direct debits, public announcements) 1.2 Security The service provides a three-level security architecture to protect the integrity and security of our Clients' data. The first level is carried out through using encrypted data transmission standard (the so-called SSL channel is used between the client and the bank). Login Password is the second level The third level is the usage of the Token generated PIN and the Static PIN (both are required to sign a transaction). At first use, the system will guide you through the process of creating a new password, replacing the one received in the PIN envelope. The new password can consist not only of numbers (as the system generated initial password), but it can contain letters of the English alphabet and special characters. Please note that the password cannot contain accented letters or special characters. For security reasons please, change your Static PIN after the first login in order to invalidate the initial Static PIN also distributed in the PIN envelope. Changing the Static PIN feature is available under the Settings menu. The Static PIN can also contain numbers and letters without accents. It is recommended to avoid letter repetitions in order to make it harder to observe the code during typing (shoulder surfing). The security can be further enhanced by changing the above secret codes from time to time. Changing the Password and Changing the Static PIN functions are available under the Options menu. 2

3 Please keep your Login Code and the Static PIN secret. Do not write them down, but if you do so, please do not keep the passwords and the Token in the same place. There is a possibility to block Online Banking access by a customer by entering a wrong password three times. Unblocking can only be done by the Bank. Use this feature in case of suspecting that an unauthorized person has accessed your codes. 2. First use 2.1 Login You can log in to the program by clicking the [Online Banking] button on the website of Sberbank Hungary ( or by using the web address. When logging in, you have to type in your user ID to the login window, which can be found in your PINenvelope. The user ID cannot be changed. The password can be found in the PIN envelope. You can log in by clicking the [Login] button. In the login window by clicking the [Help] link, or by clicking the links in the bottom of the login menu you can get help and useful insight on how the system operates and the rules of the secret protection recommendations by the Bank. If you get the Access denied alert message, then make sure, that you have typed in the correct data. Check the keyboard settings (e.g. Caps Lock) and try again. After three unsuccessful attempts the system will block your user ID. In that case, or in case if the alert appears for the fourth time, you can read the to-do list by clicking the [Cannot log in?] button. Phone number of the Sberbank Call Center is: , info@sberbank.hu. 2.2 Password change After the first login the user is prompted to change the password. For the new code you can only use numbers, letters of the English alphabet and special characters. Accented letters and characters cannot be used! The code must consist of at least 6 characters! You must enter the code twice in a row. Please note that the password is case sensitive! The login must be authenticated (signed) by entering the PIN code and the Token (generated) PIN. You can authenticate the process with the [Sign] button and interrupt it with the [Log out] button. 3

4 The program informs the user if the repeating of the login code is unsuccessful. If you did not enter the correct PIN or Token PIN, then you will receive the following alert: In the case of a successful authentication (static PIN, Token PIN) the following message appears: 4

5 2.3 PIN change We recommend that you change your password after the first login by clicking the [Settings] [New static PIN code] menus. Please note that the authentication of your new PIN can only be finished with your old PIN code! 2.3 User profile After the login code successfully changed, the program allows you to enter the name and address of the client / user. 5

6 You can change the user profile at any time at the settings menu. 3. Daily use 3.1 Available balance, transaction history After logging in, all the accounts will be displayed on the screen to which the user has the right to access. The list shows the current balances of the accounts. These balances can differ from the closing balance of the last (booking) statement in case if there is a credit line associated with the account or there were movements on the account on the actual date. Click on the eye icon at the top right of the screen to hide the account balances. You can reach this view from any of the menus by clicking the Sberbank Online logo. 6

7 By clicking the orange arrow next to the available balance will display the last 10 transactions in a decreasing order. To make it easier to see, the debits are displayed in red, credits are displayed in green. This is a quick overview; only basic data of the transactions will be displayed here. More information about the transaction can be retrieved by clicking on the arrow that appears after [Account Information] / [Balances, Extracts] and [Account Information] / [Account History], following the sums of the transactions listed there. The [Account history] function is not only available from the menu on the left side but also on the login screen, and through the shortcut under the account number. 7

8 There can be two or more booking items for a single transaction e.g. in the case of outgoing domestic payments the transaction amount and the cost of the transaction. Related item can be assigned to each other by the ID number, which can be found in the booking text field. In the [Account information] / [Transaction history] and in the [Account information] / [Balances, statements] view you can query all types of financial transactions that have been booked in the selected account for the last 400 days. In the Account history menu items can be ordered by each column. The sorting order is shown by the arrow besides the column name. In the Account history the search function can be found at the right top of the page and you can use it to narrow your search results: you can search here for an exact transaction. The expression specified in the Text containing field is searched after in the payment details and in the beneficiary fields. Please note that the system handles the charges with negative signs! 8

9 By clicking the [Search] button the transactions matching the specified search criteria will be displayed. By clicking the [New search] button the actual search criteria will be deleted. 3.2 Bank statements, preposted items The [Account information] / [Balances, statements] function also contains the booked opening / closing balances of the bank statements, which are additional information to the data displayed in the [Account information]/ [Transaction history]. The [Balance view] function displays the account history broken down by booking days. The Online Banking (booking) statements are generated on a daily basis. A new statement is released every day on which an account movement occurred. By clicking on the desired account, the current Preposted items or the last account statement is displayed. 9

10 You can select the date and the number of the Bank statement from the drop-down menu: the system will display the transactions that have been booked in the selected account for 400 days back. You can print the bank statement by clicking the [Print] button. The bank statement and the other data will be saved to a PDF file (you can open it with the Adobe Acrobat Reader application). 3.3 Order history Under the [Order history]/ [Order history] function you can find your orders created by Sberbank Online for the last 14 days. 10

11 3.4 Domestic payments Orders where the account currency of the beneficiary s account and the source account are in HUF are considered Domestic orders. Domestic orders can be saved as single orders, standing orders or as batch pamyents. When creating a batch order, you can save more than one single payment from the same source account and send them to the bank with a single authentication (see chapter 3.6.3) Single orders By clicking the Domestic payment or the Check payment hotlink on the home page. By selecting the [Transactions] / [Domestic payment] or [Check payment] or [Domestic own account transfer] menu items (under the [Domestic own account transfer] only payments between the own accounts of a single customer can be initiated). By using the Quick payment box at the bottom of the page (only payments to saved partners can be initiated). Mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk. In domestic payments only HUF accounts can be selected as source accounts. In case if the user has access only to one HUF account, this account will be automatically selected as a source account. In case if the user has access to many HUF accounts, the required source account can be selected from a drop down list. 11

12 The beneficiary s data can be inputted manually when initiating an order, or by clicking the Beneficiaries link you can choose from previously saved partners. In the partner search box, partners can be searched by their name. The partner list can be sorted. New partners can be saved during recording process by checking the Save as partner checkbox. The beneficiary's account number can be entered in two formats: in the 24-character long GIRO account number format or in the 28-character IBAN format. 12

13 Ultimate debtor and ultimate beneficiary data can be entered under the More details section. Missing mandatory fields will be indicated after saving the order. An example: After saving the order, the user is prompted to sign the transaction by entering the static PIN and the Token (generated) PIN. In case if the order is not signed immediately after recording it can be found and signed under [Order history] / [In progress] or [Order history] / [Authorise] functions. Orders with expired value date are 13

14 displayed in red in the lists. These can only be signed after the value date has been updated. It is indicated at the top of the screen if there are transactions waiting for signature or incomplete batch payment orders. If there are such items, the system will warn the user at the exit. 14

15 In case if there are appropriate signature(s) and the transaction amount is within the user s remaining daily payment limit for Sberbank Online, the bank will accept the payment for execution. Successfully signed orders can only be modified if the value date and the (sending for) execution date are in the future. Signed transactions whose (sending for) execution date is the current date will be marked by Send to bank status. These transactions cannot be modified through the Sberbank Online. In case if entering a wrong static PIN or Token PIN, the system refuses the execution of the order: In case if the transaction amount exceeds the remaining daily payment limit for Sberbank Online, the system does not accept the order: After successful sending, the transaction details can be printed or a new order can be initiated. On the day of sending the transaction to the bank, the transfer can be viewed under the [Order history] / [In progress] function, from the following day, it can be found under the [Order history] / [Order history] function. Transactions that are accepted for booking, on the day of acceptance can be queried under the [Account information] / [Balances, statements] by selecting the source account and Preposted items. After booking transactions can be queried under the [Account information] / [Transaction history] function. 15

16 3.3.2 Standing orders Within the [Standing orders] function, under the appropriate submenus you can query your existing standing orders, and initiate the following types of recurring transfers: Domestic standing orders Foreign standing orders SEPA standing orders Standing orders have fixed amount and remittance information (details). The periodicity of standing orders can be defined by recording the following fields: date of the first transaction date of the last transaction frequency When selecting the frequency, please pay attention to the following rules! The earliest start date of a standing order can be the day after the current date. In case if the current date is specified as start date, the first transfer will be initiated only in the next period (e.g. month). The standing order automatically expires (will be deleted) after the end date. On the due date, the transfer is automatically sent to the bank. 16

18 3.5 Foreign payments All orders that are not domestic (GIRO) transfers are considered to be foreign transfers. Transfers between different currency accounts within the bank have to be recorded as foreign transfers. There are two types of foreign currency transfers: 1. SEPA payments: Foreign currency transfers where all the following conditions are met, shall be recorded as SEPA (Single Euro Payment Area) payments: The amount is denominated in EUR The beneficiary s account number is specified in IBAN format (it is not mandatory to provide the SWIFT code of the beneficiary s bank, the beneficiary bank is resolved from the IBAN). The beneficiary bank is a SEPA member bank or can be reached through SEPA network. SEPA consists of the following states: EU28 (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom) and Norway and Switzerland. Transfer charges are shared (SHA): all parties pay the charges of their own bank 2. All other (non-sepa) foreign payments shall be recorded under the Foreign payments function. The selection of the correct type of Foreign transfer is supported by a wizard functionality that can be found under the [Transactions] / [Foreign payment] menu item. After specifying the currency and the destination country, the system determines the type of the transfer and displays the appropriate form. Users who do not require the feature will still find the [SEPA payment] and the [Other foreign payment] functions in the menu. Foreign currency payment orders are processed after 11:00 am each business day. Prior to processing, a confirmation message (please see chapter Messages) is sent by the bank acknowledging the reception of the order. Orders sent after the above cut-off time will be accepted for the next banking business day. This is also confirmed in a message by the bank. 18

21 3.4.1 SEPA foreign payment The process of setting up SEPA transfers is similar to the recording of domestic transfers. SEPA transfers can be initiated from any account for which the user has the right to entry foreign payments. SEPA transfers can be set up under the [Other orders] / [SEPA single payment] function. The mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk. The source account can be in any currency. According to the IBAN-only rule, when setting up a SEPA transfer, it is sufficient to specify the IBAN of the beneficiary, SWIFT/BIC codes of the beneficiary s bank are not required. The characters of the Latin alphabet can be used in the SEPA system. Other characters will be converted to the appropriate letter of the Latin alphabet. This final format will be sent to the partner and will appear on the account statement as well. Beneficiary data can be saved among own partners, by checking the Save Beneficiary checkbox. Error handling, Signing, Printing and the Overview of SEPA transactions are the same as for domestic transactions, please refer to chapter

22 3.4.2 Other foreign payments Foreign payments can be set up under [Transactions] / [Other foreign payment] function. Orders that comply with SEPA criteria, cannot be recorded as foreign payments. The foreign payment wizard [Transactions] / [Foreign payment] can help you to decide which type of foreign payment to use. The process of setting up foreign transfers is similar to the recording of domestic transfers and SEPA transfers. Foreign transfers can be initiated from any account for which the user has the right to entry foreign payments. In the case of recording foreign payments frequently, it is advised to set up a pre-defined ordering party under the [Options] / [Foreign order parties] function. Thus, it is not necessary to complete the data of the ordering party at each payment initiation. The source account can be in any currency. Beneficiary data can be saved among own partners, by checking the Save Beneficiary checkbox. If the IBAN of the beneficiary is available, please select the IBAN account checkbox. It is advised to specify the SWIFT code of the beneficiary s bank: in absence of the SWIFT code the address of the beneficiary s bank has to be specified. In the latter case an extra fee will be charged. Please pay attention to specify the exact address as in this case the bank of the beneficiary will be identified based on this data! Missing mandatory fields will be indicated after saving the order. An example: 22

Error handling, Signing, Printing and the Overview of Foreign transactions are the same as for domestic transactions, please refer to chapter Other orders Under the Other orders function you can: initiate domestic (real time) VIBER payments (Real Time Gross Settlement System) record an immediate direct debit order (based on authorisation letter or authority transfer) set up Domestic, Foreign or SEPA batch payments (multiple orders from a single source account) import payment files (created in other systems) VIBER (real time) payment The process of initiating VIBER (real time) transfers is similar to the recording of domestic transfers. VIBER payment orders can be initiated from Forint source accounts. At VIBER payments you can use your previously saved partners and you can save new partners as well. Signing VIBER payments is similar to the signing of domestic transfers. 23

24 3.6.2 Collections The process of recording Collections is similar to the recording of domestic transfers. Collection orders can be initiated to HUF target accounts. At Collections you can use your previously saved partners and you can save new partners as well. Signing Collection orders is similar to the signing of domestic transfers. 24

25 3.6.3 Batch payments By setting up batch payments you can sign and send to the bank multiple payments (from one source account) in a single package. Under the appropriate submenus you can create the following types of batch payments: Domestic batch payments Foreign batch payments SEPA batch payments By selecting one of the above functions, you can see the actual list of batch payments of the selected type. By selecting an item from the list, you can view the details, edit, delete and suspend the batch payment. You can create a new batch payment order by clicking the [New] button in the header. When 25

26 recording a new batch payment, the name of the package, the date of sending (date of processing) the batch to the bank, the source account number have to be specified. You can create the batch package by clicking the [Done] button. After this you can add orders to the package with the [New transaction] link. 26

27 To edit individual orders, click the orange arrow on the right side of an item and select the [Edit] link. You can finish the editing of the batch, by clicking the [Batch finished] link. Afterwards you can sign the transaction Payment file import Payment files (created in other systems) can be imported in the [File import] function. The following type of files can be imported: Domestic payments: UNG, HCT format Foreign payments: HUA format SEPA payments: CCT (SCT) format The format description of the Domestic payment files can be found on the Giro website ( The format description of SEPA payment files can be found on the website of the European Payment council ( The description of Foreign payment files (HUA format) can be requested from the Electronic Banking Department of Sberbank Hungary. Please select the file to import ([Browse button]), specify the date of sending (date of processing) the file to the bank and click the [Import] button. After successful upload the imported payments can be found under the corresponding type of batch payments. 27

29 3.7 Settings Ordering parties The system allows the user to record more than one ordering party. When creating new orders, the user can choose from the previously created ordering parties. You can create the following types of ordering parties: SEPA ordering party Foreign payment ordering party In case of Domestic payments the ordering party is the account owner. By selecting one of the above functions, you can see the actual list of available ordering parties of the selected type. By selecting an item from the list, you can view the details, edit, and delete the ordering party. You can create a new ordering party by clicking the [New] button in the header. When recording a new ordering party, the account (source account), the name and address of the new ordering party has to be specified User profile, New password, New PIN By using these functions, you can modify your personal information (your name and address used in the system), your login password and static PIN (used for signing transactions). The password change and static PIN change actions have to be signed with the signature method described at payments. 29

30 3.8 Messages You can view the messages sent by the bank under the [Messages] function. These contain information about the processing of your orders entered through the Sberbank Online System, information about incoming collections (collections and direct debits) or public announcements. The subject line of unread messages are displayed with bold letters. Message content can be displayed by clicking the orange arrow on the right side of an item. If you cannot find your Domestic / Foreign order under the [Account information] / [Balances, statements] as Preposted items (please see chapter Domestic payments / Single orders) then it might be that the order has not been processed yet, or for some reason (e.g. no sufficient funds) it cannot be processed. In these cases, a message will be sent to inform you about the status of the order. The bank makes a repeated attempt to process such items. Orders that cannot be processed within 5 business days, will be deleted. 30
