On the update panel DQEIO, the field containing the invalid data is represented using the '**E1**' error which signifies invalid data in the field. Shorter numeric fields can display the '**E1**' error which can result in the error code having a greater length than the original field. If multiple rows are being updated, these longer error codes can cause the screen to wrap the fields such that an AEXZ or ASRA abend can occur. The abend will happen when you page forward to the next screen or when you hit PF3 to do the update. The screen may just wrap and not actually abend. The '**E10**' field error of DQRY has also been found to cause this same situation. Storage violations may also occur. An update query containing multiple fields with invalid numeric data can result in an AEXZ abend, an ASRA abend, a storage violation or simply a corrupted DQEI0 panel with the data wrapped.
