The CIA data model will now use a data area per table, covered indexes, improved buffer settings, and larger areas for larger sites. We are also adding jobs to help maintain the database and to obtain diagnostic information when requested by CA technical support. Any site using CIA in Datacom where performance is an issue should consider migrating to the new data model. Migrating to the new data model requires redefining the CIA database. This should only be done if you are experiencing performance issues. The MUF startup parameter files that are part of this solution can improve performance without redefining the database.
