2 Introduction Using Banner s Financial Aid Self-Service, we can build Snapshots to provide accurate and consistent information in a standard format. Snapshots can be created and implemented with minimal IT assistance required. Different Snapshots can be designed to provide information relevant to specific areas.

3 Why Do We Need This? Students receive conflicting information depending on who answers their questions. Students are sent from one department to another trying to resolve problems. Faculty and Staff are often unable to navigate through necessary but unfamiliar Banner forms, or are unable to determine how to help the student. Students get very frustrated (and so do those trying to help them!)

4 Where Do We Start? Create a Project Team from all areas of the College and investigate the following: What questions are you asked for which you do not have the answer? What questions result in the student being sent to another office? What would you like to be able to tell the student? Develop Layout and Information Specs A Rough Draft is sufficient at this point. Panes are easy to add, modify, rearrange.

11 Snapshot Administrator Edit My Snapshot Layout Create Panes to group data (Bio/Demo, Enrollment, etc.) Easy to change layout by rearranging panes or adjusting pane sizes By default, this is available to the Snapshot User Role We have restricted this to Snapshot Administrator Role
