5 UAccess Student Financial Aid Financial Aid- Fundamentals Training Registration Procedure In this topic you will learn how to register for a UITS training class. 1. Click the UITS Support & Resources link. Page 1
6 2. Click the Workshops link. 3. Select the applicable workshop from the End-User Workshops and Tutorials UAccess area. Click the Basic Reports and Dashboards -- General link. 4. A list of classes available for the workshop chosen will display. Page 2
7 5. Click the register link. Page 3
8 6. If you have already been through Web Auth before logging into UITS you will not be prompted to log back in at this point. If you have not yet been through Web Auth before logging into UITS, you will be prompted at this time to enter your NETID and password then click the LOGIN button. 7. Click the Complete Registration button. 8. A registration complete screen will display confirming successful registration in your chosen workshop. Page 4
9 9. Click the Manage My Workshops link to view a list of current and previous workshops you have registered for. 10. A list of current and previous workshops display. Note: To Cancel a class click the Cancel link under the Canceled? column. 11. You have successfully learned how to register for a UITS training class. End of Procedure. Navigating Through PeopleSoft Procedure In this topic, you will learn to navigate through the PeopleSoft pages. 12. To log into UAccess, enter your NetID and your Password. 13. The left pane is the standard navigation menu. Page 5
10 14. Click the Campus Community link. 15. When you click a folder link on a standard navigation page, you access another standard navigation page that reflects the contents of the selected folder. For example, when you click the Campus Community folder, the Campus Community standard navigation pages displays as shown here. 16. When you click a content reference link on a standard navigation page, you access the actual page to which the content reference points. You can either click on the link in the Main Menu or use the left pane. Either navigation will get you to the same pages. Page 6
11 17. Click the Add/Update a Person link. 18. Notice who there are links on the bottom of the page. They are equivalent to the tabs located at the top of the page. You can use either. 19. Notice: there are tabs within the pages. This means that there is more information. 20. When you click a link on the left side of your screen (Main Menu), you access the actual page to which the content reference points. In this field, you will type in the student's ID. Note: ID: is the student's ID; this is system generated Campus ID: is the CatNet ID National ID: is the Social Security Number Last Name: you can do a partial or full search of the name. 21. Use the Search field, if you do not know where to navigate to for a functionality. Simply type in a general name. For example, enter "Loans". Page 7
12 22. Click the Start your search button. 23. If you have security to the "Loans" pages, then you will have a list of results appear. If you do not have security, then you will have no results. Click on the link that you are looking for. If this is a commonly visited area for you, then set it as your "Favorites". 24. Click the Home link. 25. You have successfully navigated through the PeopleSoft pages. End of Procedure. Setting User Defaults Procedure In this topic, you will learn to set User Defaults for your User ID. Page 8

14 27. Click the User Defaults link. 28. Click the Look up Academic Career (Alt+5) button. 29. For example, if your job duties only deal with Undergrads, this might be a good selection for you. Click the Undergrad link. 30. Click the Look up Term (Alt+5) button. 31. If you are dealing with the Fall Aid year, this selection would save you key strokes when entering information into the PeopleSoft pages. Click the Fall 2010 link. Page 10
15 32. Make sure to save your selection. You can either save on each page or save the changes on the last tab you select. Click the Save button. 33. Click the User Defaults 2 tab. 34. Click the Look up SetID (Alt+5) button. 35. Click the scrollbar. 36. Click the UAZ00 link. 37. Click the Look up Aid Year (Alt+5) button. 38. In this example, there is no Aid Year to select from. Click the Cancel button. Page 11
16 39. Click the Look up Campus (Alt+5) button. 40. Click The University of Arizona link. 41. Click the Save button. 42. Click the User Defaults 3 tab. You do not have to make a selection on each page. TIP: Keep it general for easy use. 43. Click the User Defaults 4 tab. Page 12

18 45. Click the Show following tabs button. This icon exposes all the tabs on this navigation. 46. Click the Communication Speed Keys object. 47. Review the tab for selection. 48. Click the User 3C Groups Summary tab. Page 14

You have successfully saved your User Defaults. End of Procedure. Adding Favorites Procedure In this topic, you will learn how to add your favorites to PeopleSoft. 55. Click the Financial Aid link. 22 59. Click the OK button. When you add favorites under your User ID, no matter what computer you log into, you will always see your favorites. Page 18

26 66. If you want to change the title of the page for your favorites, enter the desired information into the Description field. Enter "Aid Year Activation". 67. Click OK to set this page as another favorite. Page 22
27 68. Click the Financial Aid link or another page where you would like to set your favorites. 69. Click the Budgets link. 70. Click the Maintain Term Budgets link. 71. Click the Add to Favorites link. Page 23

29 73. To Edit or Delete any of your favorites. Click the Edit Favorites link. Page 25

32 76. When you set your favorites, they are set in Alpha order, However, you can place them in sequence number. Enter the desired information into the Sequence number field. Enter "1-4". 77. Click the Save button. 78. Click the Home link. 79. You have successfully set, deleted and rearranged your favorites in PeopleSoft. End of Procedure. Viewing Bio Demo Procedure In this topic, you will view Bio Demo information for a student. Page 28

Enter the ID or other search criteria to search for a student. 84. Click the Search button. 85. Click the Biographical Details tab. Use this page to view the individual's name and other Bio/Demo data. Page 30
35 86. Click the Birth Information link. Additional Information can be viewed by clicking on different links on pages like "Birth Information". 87. Should you have a Pop-up blocker appear, simply right click and "temporary allow". 88. To return to the main page. Click the OK button. 89. Click on Addresses Tab to View/Edit/Add information them. Viewing/Editing/Adding are based on security. If the buttons are grayed out at the bottom of the page, that means that you do not have security to edit. 90. In this section, the current address will display for the student. 91. Click the Regional tab to View/Edit/Add regional information details. 92. 40 110. Enter the desired information into the UA Address field. Enter 111. Enter the desired information into the Password (Do NOT use your NetID password) field. Enter "your password" Click the Sign In button Click "No". Page 36
