ABOUT CISDEM PDFMANAGERULTIMATE Cisdem PDFManagerUltimate is the a highly professional PDF managing system that has all the advanced features of PDF readers, PDF editors, and PDF Converters(both with and without OCR technolog). You can also convert your PDFs to files in up to 15 formats, including popular choices like.docx,.pages, xlsx, png, and.jpg. With ease Cisdem PDFManagerUltimate help you read all your PDFs of any kind, manager your PDF collections with a sound categorizing and tagging system, convert your PDFs (scanned ones supported) to files in up to ten document formats (.docx,.doc,.pptx,.xlsx,.text,.rtfd,.epub,.pages,.key, and.html) or five image formats (.jpg,.bmp,.png,.gif, and.tiff). So you no longer have to spend a fortune to purchase PDF readers, PDF editors, and PDF converters to meet your needs, because everything you need is in Cisdem PDFManagerUltimate. 3

4 II. ACTIVATING THIS APP Cisdem PDFManagerUltimate is available on our official website at download/cisdem-pdfmanagerultimate.dmg. Once you have it downloaded to your computer, please double-click the DMG file to initiate the installation, and a window with this app s icon will appear on the screen after you do so, indicating the installation is completed. You then need to relocate the icon to desktop or Applications folder. Activating ifunia Photo Slideshow is a fairly easy task. You just need to launch the app first, tap on the Help on the menu bar, and select the Register Cisdem PDFManagerUltimate from the list. Once the registration window shows on the screen, you have to copy-n-paste your registration code into the Key Code box, and then click Register button to confirm everything. 4

5 II. APP OPERATING i. Importing & Deleting Files Importing Files 1. Directly dropping the PDF files that you want to work on into the app s interface when you choose Collection in the left column. 2. Locate the folder to which the PDF that you want to edit is saved in the left column when Computer is chosen. Deleting Files To delete PDF files from Cisdem PDFManagerUltimate, you need to highlight them in the app first. And then please right click on them and choose Delete from the list. ii. Managing Collections In Cisdem PDFManagerUltimate, you can create collections where you can put all PDFs in the same category to the same place. So it would be more convenient for you to manage them. Creating & Deleting Collections To create a collection, please click on the button of the column on the left, and then put the name of it into the corresponding field. If you need to delete a collection, please select it in the list and click. If you need to rename a collection, you just need to double click on it. 5

6 Adding a PDF to a Collection To add one PDF to a collection, you need to highlight and right click on it. In the list, select Add to Collection and then choose the collection to which you want that PDF to be added. iii. General Browsing In main interface of Cisdem PDFManagerUltimate, two modes are offered - Thumbnail View and List View. You can switch between them according to your needs by clicking. You can tag different PDFs with different colors. To do that, you need to select the document first, right click on it, and choose a colored circle to tag it. You can view all the documents tagged with the same color by clicking the corresponding colored circle in the Tag section. This app also has a searching function - Typing the name of a PDF file in the Search field to find it (Note: the Search field is case sensitive). iv. Editing a PDF Advanced editing functions are provided in Cisdem PDFManagerUltimate. You can use them to work on added PDFs however you want to. To edit a PDF, you can simple double click on it or highlight it and then click. Browsing In Cisdem PDFManagerUltimate you can browse through all your PDFs. Just double click on the one you want to view and it would be opened in editing mode. One the upper left corner, you can see four buttons -,,, and, each of which means To First Page, Previous Page, Next Page, and Last Page. You can use the left column to go through the document. Rotating You can rotate any page by 90 clockwise or counterclockwise by clicking or. To reset the changes, you just need to click the. 6

7 Editing In Cisdem PDFManagerUltimate, you can add various stuff to a PDF s content. You just need to click to activate this feature. : Add texts to the PDF. : Add comments, notes, or other stuff to the PDF. : Click to draw a circle. : Click to draw a box. : Select texts and click this button to highlight them. : Select texts and click this button to underline them. : Select texts and click this button to cross them off. : Click to draw an arrow. : Click to draw a line. If you want to delete an added content, you need to select it first and then click delete button on the keyboard. If you want to remove multiple of them, you then need to click them all, and then click delete button on the keyboard., select Signing Cisdem PDFManagerUltimate also has this signing feature to help you sign documents or forms with your trackpad right on your Mac. Click and the drawing pad will appear. In that drawing pad, you first need to adjust the slider to have a proper level of broadness for the strokes. After that, you can sign in the grey area. When you are done signing, you can click Done to save this signature to the and then click Select to apply it. 7

8 v. Merging & Splitting PDFs Merging PDFs Cisdem PDFManagerUltimate can help you combine several PDFs into one big PDF file. After you add PDF files into this app, you need to select the ones that we love, and then click start the merging to Splitting PDFs If you need to split a PDF into several parts, you need to highlight it in the app first, and thne click. By choosing the corresponding option on the right, you can select how exactly you want the splitting to be done. Options include Pages to Keep, Pages to Remove, and Split by Number of Pages of Each Part. After choosing the one suits your needs the best and you can start splitting by clicking Split on the right lower corner. 8

9 vi. PDF Compression Cisdem PDFManagerUltimate is also equipped with compression feature, which can immensely shrink the size of a given PDF. There are five options available in this app: Lossless Compression, Average Image Quality (150dpi), Low Image Quality(72dpi), Normal Compression, and Minimal Size. Make your choice accordingly and then click Compress to start the process. 1. Normal Compression: Uses the compressing utility in the system to shrink the size. 2. Average Image Quality (150dpi): Converts all image quality of all JPEGs in the PDF to 150 dpi. 3. Low Image Quality (72dpi): Converts all image quality of all JPEGs in the PDF to 72 dpi. 4. Lossless Compression: Deletes all the unnecessary data in the PDF and converts the color to RGB. 5. Minimal Size: Uses the maximum power to compress imported PDFs, making sure the output files size to be as small as possible. (Please be aware that this option might seriously damaging the image quality of output files, making them unviewable.) To use this feature, you first need to select the PDF to be compressed and then click. vii. Encrypting PDFs If you want to add a password to a PDF of yours, Cisdem PDFManagerUltimate sure can help you with that task as well. Just select he PDF that you want to encrypt first, click, and a control panel would appear. In that panel you can add both Open Password and Print Password, and detailed information to this PDF file, including title, author, keywords, creator, and subject. When you are done editing, just click the Encrypt. 9

10 viii. Extracting PDFs Click if you need to export the images or texts in a given PDF, and a settings panel panel like the one underneath would appear. First you need to select whether to extract the image or text from the PDF in the Extract Type drop-down list. After that you need to whether you want to do the whole document or only parts of it. If it s the former, then please select All Pages ; if it s the latter, then please specify the page ranges in the Page Ranges field. When you are done with all the settings, please click Extract button. ix. Converting PDFs Cisdem PDFManagerUltimate can convert PDF files with or without OCR technology. It supports as many as 15 output formats, including popular ones like.docx, pages, and.xlsx. a. Convert a PDF without OCR Selecting a PDF First, you need to select the PDF that you want to convert and then click. Advanced Settings In the settings panel appears, you can choose a format to which to convert the PDF. Expand the Output Format drop down list and you can see all the formats available. After that you need to whether you want to do the whole document or only parts of it. If it s the former, then please 10

11 select All Pages ; if it s the latter, then please specify the page ranges in the Page Ranges field. When you are done with all the settings, please click Convert button. b. Convert a PDF with OCR Selecting a PDF First, you need to select the PDF that you want to convert with OCR technology and then click 11

12 Selecting Language Once the PDF loaded to the app, from the language drop-down list on the toolbar, you need to select the corresponding language prior converting your image. Cisdem PDFManagerUltimate currently supports various languages and more of them are on the way in future updates. If a given file s contents are in one language only, you just need to choose the corresponding option from the list; if they are in multiple languages, please select Choose Multiple Languages from the list and selects the ones you need. If you do not see the language that you need in the that list, please select Choose Multiple Languages and see whether you can find it there. Selecting Output Format As it was well elaborated on the very start of this document, Cisdem PDFManagerUltimate supports converting PDFs and images to up to ten document formats and five graphic formats. So at this point you need to choose a format to which you export. And you can do that just by choosing the very specific output option from the list on the right. You can convert a PDF file to multiple files in multiple formats in one shot by choosing multiple output formats. Improving Conversion Accuracy and Quality The app automatically regionally marks every part of a loaded PDF or image differently based on the nature of a given part. Texts would be marked in green; pictures would be marked in red; tables would be marked in purple. In a marked table zone, you can create a table yourself by following steps listed below: - To add a separator, you need to right click on the purple area, choose Add, and pick Add A Vertical Line or Add A Horizontal Line. - To delete a separator, you too need to right click on the purple area, choose Delete, and pick Delete the Line Left to Cursor, Delete the Line Right to Cursor, Delete the Line Above Cursor, or Delete the Line Beneath Cursor. - To reposition a separator, you need to select it in the table and drag it to the desired spot.
