3 I. About Cisdem DocumentReader Because they were designed primarily for Windows OS users, WPD, WPS, XPS, VISIO, DjVu and Winmail files cannot be viewed on Mac without a third-party reader. For a number of people, especially the students, this incompatibility can cause great inconvenience, making their lives much harder. To help those people and all Mac users to fix this problem, we developed this Cisdem DocumentReader, which provides its users with a number of great features that can not only guarantee the best viewing experience on Mac, but also assist them much further on way of processing documents in those formats. From exporting hidden texts to saving them as files of other formats, Cisdem DocumentReader certainly can be the best help you can get in such area. 3

4 II. Activating the App Cisdem DocumentReader is available on our official website, you can download it at Double click the dmg file to mount it. A new finder window showing up the app file will appear, and then move it to Applications folder from the window. Activating Cisdem DocumentReader is a fairly easy task. You just need to launch the app first, tap on the Help on the menu bar, and select the Register Cisdem DocumentReader from the list. Once the registration window shows on the screen, you have to copy-n-paste your registration code into the Keycode box, and then click Register button to confirm everything. 4

5 I. Open Files III. App Operating Here are ways to open files: 1. Click File > Open on the menu bar, select one file or multiple files at a time in the window that appears, then import them to the app. 2. Click File > Open recent, then choose files that you have worked with recently in the pull-down list. 3. Click Open File button to import files from local folders. 4. Drag-n-drop files to the window area, command click to choose multiple files or clicking and dragging a box around the files you wish to select, then drag all file to the window. 5. Drag-n-drop files into the app icon in Applications folder. No matter it is closed or running, all files will be opened in the app. 6. Drag-n-drop files into the app icon in the dock. 7. Double click the files to open. If you haven t installed other tools that associated with these document files, the app will be set to the default application. To delete a file from the app, you need to click the little cross on right upper corner on its tab. 5

Toolbar Cisdem DocumentReader comes with a number of functional buttons, and here is a list of them to help you get a better understanding. Switch between the two view modes - show thumbnails on the left side of the content or show content only. the bookmark. II. Read Winmail 1. Add Winmail file (.dat) to DocumentReader. 2. The main body and attachments will appear. 7

Note: The toolbar is greyed out when you re viewing Winmail file. III. Features 1. Manage Bookmarks After adding bookmark, you can manage them on Bookmark Manager. Open Bookmark Manager: click Bookmarks > Manage Bookmarks on menu bar. Right click a bookmark, on the pop-up dialog you can choose Delete, Rename or Open. You can also use the three buttons at the bottom of the window to manage bookmarks. 2. Full-screen Click green button at the top left of the menu bar, you can view files in full-screen view to help you work without distractions. 8

9 3.Search To help you find the content you want to read accurately and quickly, you can enter the key word in search box to locate the related content. The result will be listed on the left side of the content, and then you re able to select result on the list. Note: Current version is not able to search in DjVu and scanned PDF files. 9
