2 Page 2 Introduction To receive alerts from the KE2 Evaporator Efficiency controller, you must first have an account. There are countless options for service and KE2 Therm does not have a preferred service provider, however, these instructions will provide a known method for getting messages from the controller. There are several free internet accounts available that may be used for this purpose. KE2 has selected Gmail, the service by Google, to illustrate setting up a free address. The procedure includes step by step instructions, with pictures illustrating each step of the process. The account created in this process may be dedicated to a single controller, multiple controllers, or multiple controllers at multiple locations. The account may additionally be used for personal if desired. The messages may be stored in the account permanently for record purposes. 1 Launch your Internet Browser and input: com 2 Click on Create an Account 1 3 Input your First Name, Last Name and Desired Login Name. 4 Click Check Availability! 2 If the Desired Login Name is not available, it will inform you that the name is not available and give you a list of recommended Login Names. Either choose one of the available names or try again with another login name of your choice. Typically, I would choose one of the available names. 3 4

6 Select a Security Question from the drop down box and provide an Answer. 7 Recovery email is also optional.

3 Page 3 5 Continue by inputting your password twice. It is highly recommended to write down your user id and password at this time. It will be required in order to access Gmail and also for use with the KE2Therm controllers. Stay signed in, Enable Web History, and Set Google as my default homepage are all optional. 6 Select a Security Question from the drop down box and provide an Answer. 7 Recovery is also optional. If you have another address you can input it here and if you forget your user id or password it will send the information to the address listed. 5 8 Input your Date of Birth. 9 Input the Word Verification as instructed Click on I accept. Create my account. If you do not input the Word Verification correctly, you will be required to re-input your password and try another Word Verification. This information can be used to send alerts from the KE2Therm Controllers. The server at Gmail is: smtp.google.com 9 Note: The server information at Gmail will be required on KE2Therm Controllers in order to send alerts. 10
