2 COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS ACTION GUIDE Hi Virtual Assistant, I would like you to pull a Competitive Analysis for our client.please follow the step-by-step procedure below. Here is the information you will need. 3 1 Please Follow the Steps Below 1) Go to and search with the keyword provided above (remember that you must ensure all inputs are EXACTLY as shown above). This search will bring up a map with various listings below it. Click the More Places button (as shown by bottom pink arrow)

4 2, 3 2) Doing so will bring up a screen that looks like the one below the right (>) 3) Click on the listing (as indicated by the arrow below). Clicking this will bring up the company s information in the window directly to the right of the listing you ve selected. The information located in the pink box below is what you will be required to use when running the Competitive Analysis

5 4 4) For your Reference You will need to ensure you leave this browser window active as you will be required to repeat certain steps for the top 3 spots listed in your Google search above.

6 5, 6 5) Open another browser window and log onto (please see login and password above). With the two browser windows open you will be able to toggle back and forth between Google and whitesparkusing the cut and paste function to copy the data exactly as Google has it recorded 6) After you log in please click this link and click on the Business Search tab (see pink arrow below)

7 7, 8 7) Fill in the Country, Location (as City, Region), phone number and Business name directly from the Google window you have open. Don t worry about assigning search to a project and leave this as no project. Then just simply click the Search button 8) Once you click search you will see that Whitespark is processing your request. You can now click the Search Again button and repeat step # 7 for the remainder of the top 3 companie (found in Step #3 above). Remember to copy and paste directly from the Google Window one at a time until you have done so for all 3.

8 9, 10 9) Repeat step #7 one final time for our client s site. You have been provided you with the client s Country, City, Phone Number, and Business Name above. 10) After you finish filling in the form for the 3 competitors and our client s company your reports will be ready. Click the tab Your Search Results (top arrow) and then click view sources next to the company you just looked up (see bottom arrow)

9 11 11) Doing this will bring up all the citations that were found for this business and location. You can export it to CSV file with the URL s by clicking the Export CSV (w/url s) where the arrow is pointing in the picture below.

10 12, 13, 14 12) Download all the files and copy and paste them into a Google Sheet. Please put each competitor on a separate tab, and then put our client on another tab (see below for example). 13) Please share the file with the Gmail address provided (where were these provided as they are not on the first sheet)example). 14) You have now completed the Competitive Analysis
