3 About Provider Check With provider networks changing so frequently, wouldn t you love a tool that has all the carriers and networks in one place? Then you re going to love Warner Pacific s Provider Check, developed in cooperation with Strenuus. Provider Check helps you find the right networks for your clients with just one search. With Provider Check, you can easily: Look up any participating provider Provider Check shows you every network a provider participates in, across all carriers. Create personalized provider directories Provider Check can locate all providers in your client s geographic area who participate in the group s network(s). Then you can download the data and print a customized directory just for your client. Rank networks based on best fit To help refine your options, Provider Check will chart the top 10 networks for your client based on provider participation. Assess markets With Provider Check, you can compare network adequacy within a geographic area. Easy to access and simple to use, Warner Pacific s Provider Check is a powerful tool to help you grow your business in the new health insurance marketplace. This illustrated user guide will take you through the simple steps needed to obtain the network information you and your clients are looking for. 1

4 Getting Started Access the Warner Provider Check tool at Your user name is your address. If you forgot the password you created, click forgot your password at the login page to have it reset. 1) Once logged in - *Important* Select the network Market Segment (California or Colorado) 2) To update your profile settings (name, password etc), click on the avatar 2

5 Rank Networks Identify the best networks for your clients based on a list of providers and/or hospitals. 1. To begin, enter the physician or facility name and click Find Providers. You can include last name only, first and last name (separated by a space or comma) or hospital name. 2. You can verify the office location by clicking on the provider s name. To add the provider to your list, click on the blue plus icon. Add additional providers and/or hospitals to your list in 3 easy steps: Type in provider name; Click Find Providers ; Click the blue plus icon. Once your list is complete, there are four tabs which display your network ranking results. To hide your provider search, click here. 3

6 Rank Networks - View Results First Tab: Best Networks - lists the top 10 networks by provider participation in a bar graph. Second Tab: Ranking Details displays all network participation results based on your provider list. Click here to view which providers are not in network. Third Tab: Selected Providers displays your list of providers. Click the red x icon to remove a provider. Fourth Tab: Excluded Networks if you selected to exclude any networks, they are displayed here. To add a network back to the results, click the blue plus icon. 4

7 Rank Networks - Save Your Ranking 1. Save your ranking by clicking on Save Ranking. 2. Type the name of your ranking and save it to a client (refer to Manage Clients) or save to no client. 5

8 Rank Networks - Share Results There are four share options: , send a survey, export PDF, and export Excel. First Option: Click Share Results to share via . A pop up will open select Share via . Second Option: Click Send Survey to a survey to employees to allow them to add their physicians and hospitals to the provider list for this network ranking. 6

9 Rank Networks Employee Survey Employees click on the link within the and their internet browser will open to the provider search page. They type in their provider name and click Find Providers". Employees can verify the provider location by clicking on the provider s name or they can add the provider by clicking on the blue plus icon. 7

10 Rank Networks Employee Survey They can add multiple providers to their list. Once complete, they click Finished and a thank you acknowledgement will display. Once employees have completed their surveys, your saved ranking results will update automatically with their provider selections. 8

11 Rank Networks Export to PDF and Excel Third Option: Click Export as PDF to export a PDF report of the ranking results. A window will open when your report is ready to download. Click on download results. You can save the PDF and it as an attachment or print a hard copy. Fourth Option: Click Export Selected Providers to export an Excel spreadsheet of the ranking results. A window will open when your report is ready to download. Click on download results. You can edit and customize the Excel file to include your personal preferences. 9

12 Create a Directory Download a list of providers for a specific network based on location and specialty. 1) Enter your search criteria: number of miles ZIP code select the network and provider specialties. Once complete, click Go. You can search up to 25 miles. You can select multiple specialties for your directory. To export your directory to an Excel file, click the export icon. A window will open when your report is ready. Click on download results. You can edit and customize the Excel file to include your personal preferences. You can click on a provider name to view all network affiliations. 10

13 Look Up a Provider Look up the network affiliations for a provider or hospital 1) Enter the provider or hospital name and location. Once complete, click the Go icon. You can include last name only, first and last name (separated by a space or comma) or hospital name. You can enter the city, county, state, or ZIP code. 2) Click on the provider name to view the affiliated networks. The tool will display up to 25 providers. Try refining your search criteria if you do not see your provider listed. 11

14 Assess Markets Compare network adequacy within a geographical location. 1) Select the county, base network and comparison network(s) and click Download Report". A PDF report of the network adequacy analysis will download and be accessible to view. Optional: Select to include the network market leaders. Enter the client name and broker name for the report cover. To select multiple networks, press and hold the Control button on your keyboard while you left click your mouse. 12

15 Settings Default network exclusions Adjust your default settings to exclude network(s) automatically from network rankings 1) On the home page, click on the cog wheel to access your settings. 2) Click on add network exclusion to add a default setting for networks that you want automatically excluded from network rankings 13

16 Settings Default network exclusions 3) Select the market segment 4) Select the network(s) to be excluded and click Add Network Exclusion. 14

17 Settings Manage Clients Add clients so you can save their network rankings and reports. 1) Click on the cog wheel to access settings. Under the Client tab click on Add New Client. 2) Type client information and applicable description and click save. 3) Network rankings that you save for your clients will display here. You can edit your clients by clicking on the pencil icon, or delete your clients by clicking on the trash-can icon. 15

18 Data Vintage Verify which carrier networks are included in the tool and the network update frequency 1) Click on the cog wheel to access Data Vintage. Select Data Vintage. 2) The carrier networks are listed alphabetically and sorted by market segment Open the drop down menu to check network data for a different market segment. 16
