1 Beckman Coulter s Dx Service SharePoint Environment Welcome to Beckman Coulter s SharePoint Online System. We want you to have the best experience possible. A web browser and an address is all that is required to access this system. Please refer to the guidelines below for helpful tips on how to best use this system. The use of the MS Internet Explorer browser is encouraged for best results/compatibility, but not required. Invitations to access SharePoint Online You may have received or will receive an invitation from a Beckman associate to access content in the SharePoint Online system. This will look something like this (this will vary depending on your particular system): If you prefer to use a different address to access Beckman s SharePoint Online system, please contact the Beckman associate that sent you the invitation so they can send a new invitation to the address that you prefer to use. If you are having trouble receiving these s, please check your SPAM/Junk mail folders. You can also ask your technical support to allow s from: no-reply@sharepointonline.com be delivered to your mailbox. Page 1/9

2 Accessing SharePoint Online With an Existing Microsoft Account If the address used is tied to an existing Microsoft account (O365, MS Live, etc.) you can use this account to access the system. Enter your address, click Next, and follow the instructions that follow You may be prompted to get a verification code, if so, click the Send Code button. This code will be sent to your account Page 2/9

3 Check your for the verification code, this will look something like this Enter the code in the verification screen, then click the Verify button You will be taken to the content that has been shared with you Page 3/9

4 Accessing SharePoint Online Without an Existing Microsoft Account If the address used is not tied to an existing Microsoft account, you can still access the content. You will be prompted to get a verification code. Click the Send Code button. This code will be sent to your account Check your for the verification code, this will look something like this Page 4/9

5 Enter the code in the verification screen, then click the Verify button You will be taken to the content that has been shared with you Page 5/9

6 Working with files in SharePoint Online Once you have successfully accessed SharePoint Online, you will be able to access a website that looks something like this: You will be able to access the files in Read-Only mode, allowing you to view, open, and save files to your PC. Opening MS Office Documents If you do not have MS Office installed on your PC, you should still be able to open any MS Office documents with the Online MS Office apps provided. This will happen by default if you click on an MS Office file stored in the SharePoint Online system. The documents will open in your web browser as shown in the example below: Page 6/9

7 The file will open in MS Excel Online: If you already have MS Office 2010 or later installed on your PC, you will be able to open any MS Office documents using your own programs. This can be done by following the guide below: Page 7/9

8 Setup alerts for when files have been added or modified in a SharePoint Online folder Note: This feature is only available to users with access to the complete Diagnostics Service Documentation collection. It will not function for users with limited access. If you would like to be notified when a new file has been added or files are updated in a particular folder, please follow the guide below: (Continued on next page) Page 8/9
