1 BMD Contractor Management System (CMS) - Quick Guide Contractors The CMS can be accessed on any internet-capable device (e.g. tablet, laptop and smartphone) at any time. From the CMS, you can upload your relevant certificates and qualifications and undertake the required training prior to starting work on a BMD project site. The system is designed to streamline our contractor approvals process and to provide the relevant BMD training to contractors, to help us all meet the target of Zero Harm. Your Contractor Representative has added you to the system, and you should have received and (from CMS.Support@bmd.com.au) inviting you to create a profile. If you have not received this , please check your junk or spam folders. To get started, click the link provided in the Classification and Roles When you are creating your account, you must nominate a Classification and Role. This triggers what documentation the system will ask to be provided and the BOLT Modules to be completed. Classification Client Representative Consultant External Staff/Joint Venture Labourer Office Based Administrator Operator Supervisor Tradesperson Role Person who is engaged by the Client of the Project (e.g. Main Roads, RMS, Council Bodies) Used for company s who are consulting and may come on site but not doing works on a site e.g. environmental testing, geotechnical survey Used only for staff who are a Joint Venture Partner with BMD e.g. Acciona. It is then broken down into Administration, Engineering, Field and Support Staff General Labourer This is used for the Contractors Representative who is not going in site. The system will not ask for any documents or BOLT modules to be completed Choose from the options provided in the drop down box e.g. Excavator, Backhoe. The system will ask for their Construction Card, Tickets if applicable VOC if applicable and to complete BOLT modules Supervisor Choose from the options provided in the drop down box e.g. Traffic Controller, Electrician BSM-GLE Page 1 of 7

2 2. Account Creation and First-Time Log In 1. Fill in details and click Create my new account 2. An will be sent to you confirming your addition to the CMS. Click the link provided in that to verify your account. This should automatically log you into the system. 3. To log into the system at a later date, use the username and password given in the verification . Note: If required, select Forgotten your username or password? to receive a new password by . 3 3. Documents 3.1. Document Requirements In the CMS we ask for various documents depending on your Classification and Role. Types of Documents Certificate of Trade RTO OSA Construction Industry Card Explanation This can be either the Certificate or Registration of Trade. This can be RTO issued certification, RTO issued verification of competency (VOC) or a previous government issued ticket. An OSA Document must contain both practical and theory assessment. A letter is not acceptable. The relevant Industry card for each state. Note: Anything outside of the above guidelines, please contact your Site BMD Representative or your Company Representative. Note: Please DO NOT upload any form of Driver s License onto the CMS. If you hold a license instead of an appropriate Registered Training Organisation (RTO) certificate, download and complete BMD s License Information Acknowledgement form. Note: Refer to Appendix A for further information. 4. Uploading Documents 1. To upload a document select the name of the document required for upload. 2. Complete document details as required. Please ensure the information submitted is relevant to the uploaded file. 3. Click Browse to open to File Picker window. Locate the desired file and select Upload this file. BSM-GLE Page 3 of 7

4 4. Once all required fields have been completed, files uploaded and information reviewed select Submit. Please advise your Contractors Representative upon completion of document upload. They will then forward this information via to their BMD Representative for approval. Once approved the status will change from Approval Pending to Approved and Current. Note: Any changes to the status of the document will invoke an detailing the change. 5. Completing BOLT Modules 1. Select the name of the relevant course. BSM-GLE Page 4 of 7

5 2. Click on the module link to begin the training module. Note: These are all mandatory and must be completed prior to your arrival on site. 3. Read and complete the training module. These modules are an extremely useful tool in understanding BMD systems and how we ensure our goal of Zero Harm. 4. To successfully complete each module, you must undertake an assessment and achieve a passing mark. Note: You may open the course at any time to access information and linked documents. 6 6. Editing your Profile The Menu option is located on the right hand side of the CMS Home screen. 1. Click on the pencil and paper icon to edit your profile. 2. Update your details as required. 3. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and select Update Profile 7. To Change Your Password 1. Click Change Password (link located under the Menu window on the right side of the interface). 2.
