18 groups Purpose of Groups on Connect: Increase communication between established campaign, working group, or initiative members (All non-initiative conversations should be carried out in the Discussion forum) Initiative leaders should set up Groups to help: Coordinate with collaborators Post documents or links Broadcast messages to the group s members Moderators should join the Group Moderators group to learn the recommended protocol, and exchange suggestions for maximizing group activity

19 groups Some groups allow members to broadcast messages to all other group members Useful for broadcasting announcements or other helpful information If you send a message to the entire group, members will not be able to reply to your messages Messages will always include a link to the group page, so add any related information to the group page for everyone to access Not all groups allow this - only group administrators can enable or disable this feature
