5 Event basics Edit event Select existing event from drop-down list or by clicking on the calendar Remember a filter might be in place Search for event Filter options keyword search is powerful search description too! Don t forget to Clear Filters

10 Search Description - Key catch phrase Displays on public event search results (V3 public modules only) Visible to public on automatic FaceBook posts Also increases your search engine ranking 9/18/

11 Events suggested by others Two ways for them to submit: Public - Submit button available to public Remove button under Setup->Event Options and Settings Members - submit event through their Member Information Center Submitted events appear for you in the Task List New Events Staff clicks on New Event and selects Approved Disabled status used to temporarily remove event from display; expired events are automatically removed from display

12 reminder when submission comes in Reminder to staff when new event submitted from Member Information Center v3* Select who should go to Setup->Employees/Reps->Additional Settings.. *If members are still setup to login to v1, select Member Information Center v3 under Setup->Member Login Area Options and Settings See more info on v /18/

13 to member upon approval Rep who submitted the deal is sent an announcing your approval You can turn off the automatic under Setup->General Options & Settings 9/18/

14 Recurring event Put all info that should be duplicated on original event, then save recurrence. Once recurrence is created, consider the instances as separate events Individual instances may be modified or deleted Do not delete the original

16 Catch attention of visitors Events->General tab-> Photos & Images Upload a Search Results icon (available with v3 public modules) Display a photo gallery of images Run a video of last year s event Provide a map to the event 16

17 Enhance the description Within the description (General tab Advanced edit) Add document links Add website links Add photos 17

18 Sponsors Create Sponsor levels each time on Sponsors tab OR Set levels that are available for every event Setup->Event Options and Settings Sponsor logos Location on public website Right hand column At the bottom of event page

20 Send Invitations Events->Guest List tab ->Add New Invitations Select invitees Includes registration links Fees tab ->Registration & Billing Preferences Before sending, make sure Allow members.. is checked so your members can register using links in their Tip: You can invite last year s attendees using Add attendees from a past event Members can register thru the link in the without knowing their login/password Save the invitation if modified so you can resend later

21 Resend Invitations Resend invitations to those that haven t responded

22 Automatic Event Reminders General tab->event Information Reminders sent at your specified time Sent to all registered guests 22

23 Communicate Details Send s to specific guests at any time using Send button on Guest List Send to selected guests By invite status By payment status to primary registrants only Schedule the reminder to be sent as desired time* *Plus edition or greater only

24 Post to Facebook/Twitter/LinkedIn Requires existing Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn account Either Facebook page or profile Once settings are in place, publishing will happen automatically Setup->Social Network Publishing Help/Info->Administrator Tasks->Customizing ChamberMaster->Social Network Publishing

30 Send SMS (text) reminder Use SmartText to send a reminder to subscribers Create a keyword (i.e. gvchamber) Create a group (i.e. events) Tell your members to text this to (example) notify gvchamber events Then you send message to your event subscribers before each event Cost = 5 cents/message/subscriber 200 subscribers would cost $10 to send event reminder 9/18/
