2 Logging in Open up your browser and in the address bar type Follow the Log in link Click here to log in. Click here to log in. Important notice: If you have not given us your address when you enrolled on your course, we are unable to create an account on the Learning Hub for you. If you have an address, please go to frontline staff with your address and ask them to update your database record. If you do not have an address, please speak with your lecturer to find out how you can create one. Page 1 of 15 Version /07/2017

3 Waltham Forest Adult Learning Service Learning Hub After you have clicked on Log in, you are presented with the form below: Enter your username and password (this would have been sent to you via ) in the form displayed and click the Log in button or press Enter Enter your username and password here and click Log in. If you have forgotten your username or password, click Help with login see further instructions on page seven in this user guide. 4 You will see the My Courses link including your picture, if you have logged in previously and have uploaded your photograph in your profile. Scroll down here to see more Page 3 of 15 Version /07/2017

Scroll down here to see more Clicking here reveals a quick guide to accessing the Learning Hub. It will state the reasons why you need an address and it lets you know how to change your password when you first log in and how to change it afterwards. 6 If you scroll down further, you will see Site news containing latest updates on courses, information session, closing times etc. These are forum posts that have been placed there by the Learning Hub administration team. Scroll down here to see more Page 5 of 15 Version /07/2017

7 Waltham Forest Adult Learning Service Learning Hub Towards the bottom of your screen, you will see the following links: Click here to see more news To search for a course enter the course name or course code here. This area shows files you have uploaded to your Learning Hub account. To upload files, simply click Manage private files and drag and drop your files into the (upload) box. The For learners area contains links to important documents and local events and websites, including Waltham Forest libraries. The For job seekers area contains links Universal Jobmatch and other websites offering jobs. The Feedback area provides links to feedback forms and our contact . Version /07/2017 Page 6 of 15

8 Forgotten your Password or Username? 10 Opening your Course After you have logged in, click My Courses and you will see the screen below listing the courses you are currently enrolled on, any deadlines you may have been set, s that you have received and any forum posts that have been made in your courses, as shown below: Click the course you want to open you will now see content of the course as displayed below: Your Firstname Lastname Click here to log out. Click here to see the calendar. Click on a message to see the content. Sender of Click here to open this course and to see its content. Click here see forum posts. 13 Waltham Forest Adult Learning Service Learning Hub Editing Your Profile To edit your details, click on your username at the top of the screen and under User Details, click Edit profile Make any changes necessary, eg, add your photograph or change your address. (Please note: If you change your address you must tell frontline staff and ask for your database record to be updated.) When you have finished editing your profile, click the 'Update profile' button. 14 Changing Your Password To change your password regularly, click your name at the top of the screen Under User details, click Preferences and then choose Change password the Change password form opens (see overleaf) Click Preferences. Click Change password. Page 13 of 15 Version /07/2017

15 Waltham Forest Adult Learning Service Learning Hub Click your username and choose Preferences Select Change password In the Current password box, type your old password In the New password box, type the new password (the password must be at least 8 characters long and must include at least 1 upper case and 1 lower case letter and at least 1 number) In the New password (again) box, re-type the new password Click Save Changes Your Firstname Lastname firstname.lastname Enter the current password. 16 Logging Out To log out of the Learning Hub, at the top right of your screen, click either your picture or the My Courses link you will now see the page containing the courses you are enrolled on, your deadlines, messages and forum posts and click Log out at the top of the screen.
