3 Click Getting to Started: edit Master Accessing title style the Platform Setting up The platform is accessible in 2 ways: Desktop/PC or Mobile device. Desktop/PC - For users working on a PC or a laptop, you will need to have a web browser (Mozilla, Google Chrome, Opera Mini, Safari, etc.) installed on your device. An active internet connection is required for access to the platform site. Mobile Device - Users accessing the platform through their mobile devices are required to download and install the Jibu app from the Play and the App stores. You will need an active internet connection for first time access and for future updates. 3
4 Click Getting to Started: edit Master Operating title style Modes 1. Online: This setup requires an active internet with stable internet bandwidth. No internet, no access. 2. Offline: This set up works on mobile devices. Access your downloaded content through the Jibu app, accessible from the Play and App stores. 4

6 Click User Authentication: to edit Master Account title style Creation Form The platform offers three (3) options for user authentication: 1. Guest access 2. Self sign up 3. Authenticated user For the self sign up and authenticated user, you would need to fill in an account creation form (see Fig.1). When you come acrossit: Fill in all the compulsory fields marked using an exclamation mark. You will not be able to submit the form until these fields are filled. Use a genuine account to ensure you receive content and platform notifications. Once you create an account, it will need to be confirmed by the System Administrator. You will receive an once your account has been confirmed. You can then access the platform. Figure 1 6
7 Click User Authentication: to edit Master title Guest style Access User authentication option 1: 1. Guest Access An anonymous user can access the platform through the Guest Login Access option. See Fig. 2 to your right. Process: Select Login >> Select Login as guest Once you click Login as guest you will be redirected to the ecampus platform landing page. Figure 2 7
8 Click User Authentication: to edit Master title Self style Sign Up User authentication (option 2): 2. Self Signup This option enables you to create your own account on the platform. Process Select Login >> Select create new account. See Fig 3. Once you click Create new account the account creation form will appear. NOTE: The account creation form will mark all compulsory fields using an exclamation mark. You will not be able to submit the form until these fields are filled. Use a genuine account to access course notifications. Once you create an account, you can only access the platform once your account has been confirmed by the System Administrator. You will receive an once your account is confirmed. NOTE: Please provide a genuine account to maintain control of your account. Figure 3 8
9 Click User Authentication: to edit Master title Authenticated style User User authentication (option 3): 3. Authenticated User For this option: You will either need to have an account created before accessing the ecampus platform, for instance by the Course Administrator. A self enrolled user becomes an authenticated user once your account is successfully created. Once authenticated, you will need to use your credentials (username and a password) to access the platform. Process Select Login >> enter credentials and click Login. See Fig 4 Figure 4 9
10 Click User Authentication: to edit Master title Amref styleand AMIU Staff An additional user authentication option is available for Amref and Amref University Staff. In this option, the user should select the Microsoft icon as shown in Fig 5. You should then use your regular Microsoft credentials (user name and password) to access the platform. Process Select Login >> Select the Microsoft icon and enter your Microsoft credentials See Fig. 5. Figure 5 10
11 Click Account to edit Recovery Master (1/2) title style In the event you forget your password, use the Forgot your username or password option as shown in Fig 6. On the recovery form that appears, enter your username or your address. Process Select Login >> Forgotten your username or password. See Fig 6 NOTE: Remember to use the address used to create the account. Figure 6 11
12 Click Account to edit Recovery Master (2/2) title style Account Recovery On the recovery form that appears, please enter your username or your address. On clicking search, a password reset link will be sent to your address to enable you to reset your password. Click on the link and reset your new password. Process. Select Login >> Forgotten your username or password NOTE: Remember to provide a genuine account to maintain control of your account. 12

14 Click The Dashboard to edit Master (1/4) title style Once you have your login credentials and have successfully logged into the platform, you will come across the dashboard tour. You can choose to take or end it. You will then view all the courses you are enrolled to are listed as illustrated in Fig. 7. Figure 7 NOTE If the course area is blank, select the upcoming tab to check if you have been enrolled. If there are still no courses listed in this tab, please note that you have not been enrolled on any course. (See enrollment section in the document). 14

19 Click Forum to Discussions edit Master (1/3) title style This is a collaborative feature, which allows learner-learner, learner-tutor/mentor discussions. A tutor/mentor creates a discussion forum where learners contribute via text, link, document (pdf, MS Word, MS Excel, html), images (MS Word, MS Excel, html) Click from the dashboard Learning items Note: The learning items are denoted by icons and their titles alongside. Click on them (as pointed) to access each item. 19

The forum discussion may form part of your performance depending on the course evaluation metrics, therefore, every post counts. 20

Some tests will only display it on completion. Your score at this point has already been submitted. You can only change it by retaking the test. 26

28 Click Course to Enrolment edit Master (1/2) title style To access a course on ecampus, one needs to be enroled by an admin or self. Enrolment can be through: i. An administrator s enrolment - The Course Administrator enrolls you to the course ii. Self enrolment - You enroll yourself to a course without an Administrator s intervention Self Enrollment For self enrolment, you will need to enter an enrolment key or directly enroll without a key. Where an enrolment key is required: A Course Administrator will set an enrolment key for the course. A course link will then be sent to you together with the key. Click on the link then click on the course, enter your enrolment key then click enroll. See next slide for screen shots. 28

34 Click to edit Master title style Summary The ecampus learning platform is compatible with all browsers. Your is the central point of communication. Please keep it up to date at all times. Branding for the courses varies, including course colors, buttons and icons. The ones in this guide are purely for illustrative purposes. Offline access to course content is only available for mobile platform users. The administrative and mentorship functionalities are not available on the mobile app.
