2 Step 1: Login. For new CITI users, go to: It should take approximately 15 minutes to complete registration and get access to the correct CITI course. For assistance, please contact

3 Step 2: Begin Registration 1. Enter Regis University in the organization affiliation box. 2. Agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. 3. Affirm that you are affiliated with Regis (whether as a student, faculty member, employee, or investigator). 4. Click Continue to Create Your CITI Program Username/Password.

Step 3: Personal Information 1. Enter your first and last name. 2. Enter your email address in the boxes provided. 3. It is recommended to also enter a secondary email address in the event access is lost to the first email.

5 Step 4: User name and Password 1. Enter your user name. 2. Enter your password and verify it. 3. Select a security question and complete the security answer box. 4. Click Continue.

6 Step 5: Enter your country of residence. 1. Search for your country by entering it in the box provided. 2. Click Continue to Step 5.

7 Step 6: Continuing Education Unit (CEU) Credit 1. Answer the questions to indicate whether you wish to receive CEU credit. 2. Click continue. ** NOTE: Most researchers will not choose the option to receive CEU credits as CEU credit is generally not applicable. **

8 Step 7: Regis Information 1. Enter the required fields. 2. Click continue.

9 Step 8: Course selection 1. Select the Human Research Protections Course and select if this is your first time taking the course or if you are taking it as a refresher. 2. Click Next.

10 Step 9: Type of Research Course Needed 1. Indicate what type of course you need. In most cases, you will either be a Biomedical Research Investigator or a Social-Behavioral Research Investigator. The IRB member course and IRB Chair course are targeted to members of the Institutional Review Board. 2. Click Next.

11 Step 10: Finalizing 1. Click Finalize Registration.

12 Step 11: Institutional Courses 1. Most researchers will click View Courses. 2. **Option: In extremely rare situations, a researcher may want to affiliate with another institution in addition to Regis. This can be done by clicking the Add an Affiliation button.**

13 Step 12: Start Courses 1. Click the Start Now button (Most investigators will have either the Biomedical Research OR the Social-Behavioral Research Questions).

14 Step 13: Integrity Assurance 1. Click on the gold bar at the top of the screen ( Complete the Integrity Assurance Statement before beginning the course. )

15 Step 14: Integrity Assurance Agreement 1. Read the CITI Terms of Service, Privacy and Cookie Policy, and agree by checking the box. 2. Click Submit.

16 Step 15: Begin Modules 1. The required modules will be listed first (8 prescribed courses will be listed for Biomedical investigators and 9 prescribed courses will be listed for Social-Behavioral investigators). Click the Start button to begin your course. NOTE: There are many elective modules which can be selected (3 elective modules are required for Biomedical and 2 electives are required for Social- Behavioral, but investigators may choose to take more). Choose those that are most applicable to your research. Regis IRB may require additional modules to be taken based on the type of research. IMPORTANT REMINDER: When submitting your IRB application, attach the CITI completion report (which details each module taken, the date taken, and the score received). It is NOT sufficient to attach a CITI course certificate (which looks like a diploma).
