1 How to create a Fire Starter event on EventBrite Once you have ed Info@workforcescotland.com to confirm you are going to host an event during Fire Starter Festival, you should receive and like this one, inviting you to become a subuser on the Fire Starter EventBrite. This will allow you to get up a registration form for you event, to be advertised along side all the other events taking place during the festival. When you click the link in the you will be invited to create a new password for your account. This will allow you to log in with your address and add events to the Fire Starter Organiser Profile. It needs to be 8 characters long!
2 Click create event in the top right hand corner. You should be redirected to a page that looks like this. Add in your event title, location, timings, and a brief decription. If you have an image, like a logo or picture you can upload this as well, to help make your event stand out. The event organiser should automatically show as Fire Starter Festival 2017, and should contain a brief description of the festival in Organiser Description. This means that your event will be listed along with the other Fire Starter events. Select the Free Ticket option.
3 Enter the ticket name and the total number of tickets or places that are available at your event. You will have the option to set up a waiting list if you sell all your tickets later in the process. Set the event to list publicly, then set the type of event and topic from the dropdown menus. You can choose to show the number of tickets sold at your event if you wish. When you are ready, make you event live!
4 This is the event dashboard. Once you have made your event live, you will be redirected to the Manage tab. If you want to change any of the details, eg the venue or timings, you can do so in the edit tab. We are asking that all event hosts ask participants for the same information in the event sign up. To do this, visit Order Form in the event dashboard.
5 In order form you will be given the option to switch from Basic Information to Each Attendee. This will then present you with the following options. We recommend you require the following from all attendees: First name Surname Jobe title Organisation You might also want to ask for other contact details, such as phone numbers.
6 The Order form also presents the option to add custom questions. We recommend you add a question on special requirements, such as diet and accessability, to help your event meet equality standards. You may also wish to ask a question specific to your event, such as the attendees experience of the topic.
7 Once you save the event, it will appear on the Fire Starter event page along with all other Fire Starter Festival events. Your address and password will allow you to log in at any time and check registrations or make amendments for your events only. You will not have access to edit events hosted by others. If you have a concern or suggestions about another event, please the programme team at info@workforcescotland.com.
