Always use the inmate's committed name, CDC number, and institutional address when addressing your letters. No item can be glued, taped, stapled or otherwise affixed to a page. The following items are not permissible for inclusion in or attachment to routine mail addressed to an inmate: Stickers or stamps (other than postage stamps, postal service attachments, and address labels affixed to the outside of the envelope); Laminated cards or other laminated materials. Procedures for Sending Money This facility does not accept money at visitation or through the mail. Money orders or cashier's checks sent through the mail will be processed through a bank center near Atlanta Georgia. Make the money order or cashier's check payable to the inmate and include his commissary number. Personal checks and cash are not accepted. How do I get approved for visitation? Submit an Inmate signed CDC- 106 to C.O.C.F. at Sun Center Drive, Rancho Cordova, CA How do minors get approved to visit? Minors are approved to visit with an approved adult. How long does the application process take? Once applications are received at C.O.C.F. it will take 6 to 8 weeks for processing. 3

4 How will I know if I've been approved? Once application is processed, C.O.C. F. will notify the Inmate of approval or denial. If denied C.O.C.F. will send letter of denial to applicant. It is the responsibility of the Inmate to notify the applicant if approved. What are the days and times of visitation? Visitation hours are 9:00am to 4:30pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Holidays are New Year's Day, July 4 th, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Do I need to schedule a visit? The facility requests that all visitors schedule a visit at least a week before to the requested visitation date. Please contact the Visitation Coordinator at Due to the distance of travel and space scheduling will assist us in providing the most time for visits. How long can I visit? The hours of Visitation 9:00am to 4:30pm which is 7.5 hours. Where do I park when I arrive at the facility? Facility parking lot. Will I be searched? Yes. What is the dress code for visitation? Visitors are expected to dress appropriately. Remain fully clothed at all times. Appropriate attire includes undergarments. Females cannot wear brassieres that contain metal underwire. You may wear a dress, or a skirt no shorter than 2 inches above the knee, no mini- dresses, no form fitting dresses, or pants. No tight clothing, No tank tops, no spaghetti straps, no strapless halter tops. No v- neck or low cut tops or shirts. No layered clothing. No skinny jeans, no leggings, no spandex or stretch pants. Jeans are allowed as long they do not have a lot of metal buttons and are not tight. Shorts are allowed, but must be no shorter 4

5 than 2 inches above the knee. No shear or translucent clothing under any circumstances. No hair pins, hats, or wigs, unless medically necessary. No large hoop earrings. Females are allowed to wear Capri pants. No clothing that displays obscene or offensive language or drawings. No clothing that resembles law enforcement, military type clothing including rain gear. Visitors may wear tennis shoes, boots, and flats. Sandals if they have strap around the back. Heels can only be 2 inches in height. Flip flop shoes of any kind are not allowed. Red, white, yellow, or green colors cannot be worn in the NFCF facility. No clothing that exposes the breast or chest area or genitals, or the buttocks is allowed. What type of identification do I need to be allowed into the facility? Valid Driver's License, Armed Forces identification, passport, or other valid government- issued photo- ID. Identification cards issued by U.S. Department of Justice or U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service may be used. Minors must have to their original Birth Certificate or embossed copy of Birth Certificate. What items am I allowed to bring to visitation? $20.00 per person, 10 photographs and one small package of unopened tissue. NO CELL PHONES ARE ALLOWED IN THIS FACILITY.
