5 How to change your assigned Password and PIN? Password is used to access the IP Phone Client portal page ( and login to frsip Mobile installed in mobile devices. (Login User ID is your extension number) PIN is used to access your voice mailbox. An initial Password and PIN were sent to you via departmental coordinator. If you haven t got it, please contact. To change them, login to the Client Portal Page then click on the left and click the following buttons How about if I forgot my assigned Password? When login to IP Phone Client Portal Page, click Reset Password button and follow the instruction to do so. If still fail to reset the password, please contact.
6 How to listen to your voice mail? Method 1: Listen via your own physical phone set 1. The button should turn on red if there is voice mail received. 2. Press this button and enter your PIN to listen the message Method 2: Listen via other physical phone set 1. Dial 2222 (if using other PolyU office phone) or dial (if using non-polyu office phone) 2. Enter your extension number and your PIN to listen the message Method 3: Voice message forwarded to your Staff mailbox 1. By default, any received voice mail will have a copy automatically forwarded to your Staff mailbox. The voice message is attached as an.mp3 file. You can list to it by open it.
7 How to transfer a call to other extension? Blind Transfer: 1. Receive call 2. Press Transfer button 3. Input the extension that you wish to transfer to 4. Press Tick button to confirm the transfer 5. Call disconnected on own side and call is transferred Consultation Transfer: 1. Receive call 2. Press Hold button 3. Input the extension that you wish to transfer to see whether the owner of that extension wish to answer the call. 4. If yes, press Transfer button and press Tick button to confirm the transfer 5. Call disconnected on own side and call is transferred 6. If no, or there is no answer on the transferee extension, you can press Hold button again to get back the original call.
8 How to forward all your calls to other extension or phone number? Method 1: via Physical phone set Click Settings button, then press Call Features > Call Forwarding > Forward All > Enable Forwarding Enter your target extension or phone number (be remember to add 9 as prefix for non-polyu phone number) and press Tick button Method 2: via IP Phone Client portal page Login to Click button and click Click Select your own extension in the Number field and enter your target extension or phone number in Forward to field (be remember to add 9 as prefix for non-polyu phone number) To cancel the call forward, click
9 How to pick up my colleague s incoming call when he/she is away from office? Pick up calls of another extension need a pre-configuration of pick-up group first. To setup a pick-up group, please fill-in the service request in here. Once the pick-up group is setup, any group members can pick the incoming call to any extensions within the group by pressing *8 from his/her own extension.
