2 Dear Valued Member, In an effort to better support your financial needs, United 1st Federal Credit Union will convert the former Community United core data processing system platform to the current United 1st FCU core data processing platform effective October 27 th 29 th. There will be a system upgrade to better serve you on a single system and provide you with added benefits and capabilities. It will enhance your online banking functions, including mobile banking, while adding additional security features. Members with regularly used Community United ATM cards or debit cards will be issued a new United 1st FCU VISA debit card. These cards will be mailed to applicable members prior to the conversion and may be activated upon receipt. Please note, current Community United ATM and Debit Cards will be deactivated on October 29 th. Please know our leadership and staff is committed to making this conversion a smooth and easy process for all. To help you better understand the conversion and how it affects you, we have created the following Member Resource Guide for your review. This Guide serves as an informational overview of our system upgrade and offers details of what you can expect as a member. In addition, we have designed a conversion web page at which will offer the timeliest information on the conversion process and post-conversion updates. In addition to these resources, our staff will be on hand to help walk you through any questions or concerns you have post-conversion. We hope you will take the time to review this information to fully understand the coming changes and how they will affect you. 3 UNITED 1 ST FCU 2017 CONVERSION MEMBER RESOURCE GUIDE SYSTEM UPGRADE SCHEDULE FRIDAY, OCTOBER 27th n At close of business, the Core Processing platform supporting current Community United members will go offline. n Online banking and 24-hr Phone Teller will be unavailable after close of business. HOW TO PLAN AHEAD n Please complete all cash withdrawals, Online Banking transactions and account transfers prior to 6 p.m. on October 27 th. Please note, current Online Banking login IDs and passwords will not convert over to the new system. Please see page 2 for more information on login changes. n Limited ATM access will continue through October 29. n Community United ATM & Debit Cards will move to offline processing. n October statement will be processed on the current system. n While debit cards are in offline processing, you will be able to make purchases up to a certain threshold. To avoid any NSF fees, please make sure you have an accurate record of your account balance at 6 p.m. on October 27 th, and keep a register of any transactions you make throughout the weekend. n All members (even those currently enrolled in e-statements) will receive a paper statement through October 27. In addition, you will receive a United 1st statement for October Previous e-statements will not convert over to the new system. You may print your account history and the last few statements of your account from Online Banking prior to the conversion for reference. Our staff is also available to assist in printing previous statements. MONDAY, OCTOBER 30 th n The Credit Union will reopen according to normal business hours. n 24-Hr. Phone Teller, Online Banking and Bill Pay become available on the United 1st platform. n Community United ATM and Debit Cards will no longer work, however members with recently used Community United cards should have received new United 1st VISA Debit Cards prior to the conversion which are ready for activation and use on October 30. n Current Online Banking credentials will not convert to the new system. See instructions on page 2 for enrolling in United 1st Online Banking. n After enrolling in United 1st Online Banking, you will be able to enroll in Mobile Banking. n Please activate the United 1st VISA Debit Card received via mail. This card can be used anywhere VISA is accepted as well as any of our convenient ATM locations. UNITED 1ST MEMBER GUIDE 1

4 IMPORTANT LOG IN CHANGES EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 30 TH n Current Online Banking login IDs and passwords will not convert over to the new system. On October 30th, you will need to visit our website at and complete an Online Banking enrollment form. Or, you may call us at or stop by your local branch for assistance. To enroll online, go to and click on the Member Benefits tab. Then click on CU Online and look for the enrollment application link. This link will direct you to the Enrollment Application to complete and submit to us. A credit union representative will contact you via or phone call to complete the application process. Allow up to 72 hours. n Our MobileMoney app is available to all Online Banking members. This service allows you to check balances, make transfers, remote deposit checks and pay bills all from the convenience of your smart phone. Please ask a representative for assistance or visit our website at ADDITIONAL CHANGES TO EXPECT EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 30 TH n Previous e-statements WILL NOT be available. A paper statement will be issued for all members during the first month postconversion, even those currently enrolled in e-statements. Following this, statement distribution will return to normal with you receiving either the e-statements (pending your enrollment in Online Banking) or paper statements for which you are registered. For reference, you may want to print your account history and the last few statements of your accounts from Online Banking prior to the conversion. New e-statements will appear different. n Online Banking WILL NOT convert over to the new system. See above for further details. n All United 1st FCU account numbers are 6 digits long. Your current Community United account number will change to reflect this format. For example: If your current Community United account number is 123, it will be changed to OR if your current Community United account number is 12345, your new account number will be Adding a 2 to the beginning of your current account number and the appropriate number of 0 s to make it 6 digits long. n Any current payroll deductions and split deposits will continue. United 1st will manually adjust for split deposits for the first occurrence and set them up for recurring in the future. n Members with regularly used Community United ATM and Debit Cards will be issued a new United 1st VISA Debit Card which will be received prior to the conversion. These new debit cards can be activated upon receipt and will be available for use starting October 30. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q: Why is United 1st making this change? A: Consolidating to a single technology will enable United 1st to operate more efficiently as well as provide new functionality and benefits to you. The new system will bring more applications and functionality to the Online Banking system, more functionality to Mobile Banking and more data security. Q: When will the credit union be closed? A: The credit union will not experience any closures as a part of this conversion. All standard operational hours will continue. Q: When will the changes take place? A: We will activate the new system functions beginning Monday, October 30 th. Q: Will I be able to access my money and/or accounts during this time? A: Yes, you can access your funds at any of our ATMs or by using your debit cards for limited transaction amounts on October 28 th & 29 th. Q: Are my accounts safe and secure? How safe is the transition? A: Yes, your accounts and personal information are secure. The safety and security of your accounts and your personal information is always the first priority for United 1st FCU. In addition, your funds are federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration per individual up to $250,000. UNITED 1ST MEMBER GUIDE 2

5 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS CONTINUED Q: Will account numbers change? A: Yes. All United 1st FCU account numbers are 6 digits long. Your current Community United account number will change to reflect this format. For example: If your current Community United account number is 123, it will be changed to OR if your current Community United account number is 12345, your new account number will be Adding a 2 to the beginning of your current account number and the appropriate number of 0 s to make it 6 digits long. Q: Will Direct Deposit/ACH/Payroll Deductions be affected? A: Your Direct Deposit, ACH, and/or Payroll Deductions will continue uninterrupted. United 1st posts all funds on the date indicated by the sender. Q: Will I need to order new checks? A: Not at this time. You may continue to use the checks you already have but we encourage you to see us before placing your next check order so we may assist in providing the updated routing and account numbers. Q: Will I be issued a new debit card and PIN? A: Yes, members with a regularly used Community United ATM or Debit Card will receive a new United 1st VISA Debit Card prior to the conversion. The new cards can be activated upon receipt and will be available for use starting on October 30 th. Q: Will account history be transferred to the new system? A: No, your account history will not transfer. You may download account history and print previous e-statements prior to close of business on Friday, October 27 th for your records. Q: Will Online Banking user IDs and passwords change? A: Current Online Banking login IDs and passwords will not convert over to the new system. On October 30 th, you will need to visit our website at and complete an Online Banking enrollment form. Or, you may call us at or stop by your local branch for assistance. You may download previous e-statements for reference. You may also print your recent account history and keep track of any transactions you perform during the conversion weekend as potential reference you might need later.
