4 Introduction The Insurance Solutions web-portal will support two exclusive file formats, fixed length and comma delimited. Customers have the option to use one or the other format to load the input data to process the inquiries in batch mode. NCF Batch Fixed Length Input File Format NCF order information contained in the fixed length file format is a 325 bytes record. These five sections are: Key Order This section is 50 bytes which consists of customer specific information such as File Prepare Date, Time, User Id and Case ID. Order Record This section is 20 bytes which consist of the Order type. Subject Information This section is 71 bytes which consists of Subject details and SSN information. Spouse Information - This section is 29 bytes which consists of Spouse Name and SSN. Address (Current & Former) Information This section consists of 65 & 89 bytes respectively. 5 Section 1 Key Order Information This section is 50 bytes which consists of Administration information such as Prepare Date, Time, User Id and Case ID. Explanation for Keys on the Order Information Offset Length Data Type Field 0 1 Space Delete Byte - always a space (^) 1 1 Space Record Type - always (^) 2 5 A Product ID always 'NCF^^' 7 6 N Prepare Date - zero fill 13 5 N Prepare Time - zero fill 18 3 Space Operator ID Spaces for Portal 21 1 Space Filler 22 6 N Sequence Number - (00000^) / Spaces for Portal (Anwer to confirm) AN Case ID user defined 48 2 Spaces Filler Legend: A = Alpha characters including underscore and punctuation marks N = Numeric (does not include decimals) ^ = Spaces * = Required Business Rules for Key Order Information PRODUCT ID is always NCF^^ (^ = Space). ORDER SEQUENCE - is an optional field which can be use to put sequence number on each record of the file. CASE ID - is a user defined field for your unit of business (i.e. policy number, etc). Case Id is a required field, every order within the batch must contain a Case Id. For blank CaseId, system will auto generate a single CaseId for the entire batch.
