1 United Way Online Pledge Site Instructions Accessing the Site Mosaic s online United Way pledge site can be access in a number of ways. From work, you can simply click the link on the employee homepage and it should take you into the site automatically. You may also access the system from work or your home computer by pointing your browser to the UR: Mosaic s campaign code is mosaic and your username is the same as your work username. If you do not know your password, you may reset your password or have the system it to you by clicking the Forgot Password? link.
2 Website Overview Mosaic s online United Way campaign site provides campaign details and an online form that can be used to make a pledge toward Mosaic s United Way campaign. The system is configured to recognize employees and protects information in a secure database. To Make a Pledge To make a pledge, simply click the Pledge Now link, which will take you to the online pledge form. The first step is to select how you would like to make a contribution. The options are; Payroll Deduction, Credit Card, Check, and Direct Bill. Next, you will need to select which United Way you would like to make a contribution to. The system is configured to automatically default to the United Way affiliated with your home zip code. To select a different United Way, click the radio button next to I would like to direct my pledge to another community based on a zip code that I will provide and enter in the zip code that corresponds to the different United Way.
3 Making a Payroll Deduction Contribution If you selected a payroll deduction for your pledge, the next step is to indicate how much you would like to give and the frequency. You may select to have a portion take from each paycheck the following year, or you may choose a one-time deduction, which is taken from your first paycheck in January. There is also an option to choose fair share, and have the equivalent of one-hour of pay taken out each month (this amount is roughly 0.6 percent of your regular pay). Making a Credit Card Contribution To make a contribution by credit card, enter your credit card information on the screen and the date that you would like your credit card to be charged.
4 Making a Check Contribution To make a contribution by check, enter the total amount on the check contribution screen, and complete your pledge. Then send payment, along with a printout of your pledge confirmation to: Mosaic United Way Campaign 3033 Campus Drive, Suite E490 Plymouth, MN Making a Pledge Payable by Direct Bill Some United Ways allow a bill me option for pledges. If you would like to have United Way send you a bill, please indicate on this as your preference and include the contribution amount and date you would like to be billed.
5 Contribution Distribution Next, decide how you would like United Way to use your contribution. The easiest way to help the whole community is to put 100 percent toward United Way s community investment fund. You may also allocate portions of your contribution to individual focus areas, or designate to specific nonprofits (noted below). Selecting Designations Some United Ways allow you to designate to specific nonprofit agencies. You can select this as an option at the bottom of the Contribution Distribution screen by selecting Other Designation Options and choosing which agencies you would like to fund. You may also write-in designations as long as they adhere to your local United Way s designation policy by selecting Provide agency information.
6 Recognition Information The next screen provides options for individual and household recognition. You can also verify or update your contact information here as well. If you choose to give anonymously, United Way will exclude your name from any public recognition, but you will still be eligible for company campaign prizes. Submitting Your Pledge The final screen in the pledge process provides one final opportunity to verify your contribution information. Be sure to hit the Submit Contribution button at the lower right-hand corner to complete and submit your pledge.
7 Pledge Confirmation After you submit your pledge, a confirmation screen will provide final instructions and the opportunity to print a copy of your pledge for your records. You will also receive a copy of this information via (you may need to check your SPAM box). Please note, donors will need to provide a copy of this information to the IRS (along with your last pay statement from the following year if you chose payroll deduction) if you intend to claim the contributions as a deduction on your federal income taxes. Access, Delete or Modify a Pledge To delete or modify a pledge after it has been submitted, click the Pledge Now button. This will take you to a screen where you can print a copy of your pledge statement, or delete your previous pledge and then re-enter it if you like.
