1 Introduction: The Quality Process tool uses templates to perform Quality Process walks, Homeowner Orientation walks, or Pre-construction walks. The template creates pre-defined specific tasks/activities/inspection points that you want to examine on a job using a check list or value based format. When performing the walk tasks are checked off or a value can be assigned to specific tasks. On a check list you can respond if they are completed, not applicable, or if a problem exists. Work orders can be generated from these walks. The templates are created on the main system under set up, system set-up, quality process and then added to the job, get assigned to an inspector; it can be scheduled or unscheduled. Note: The terminology for Quality Process can be changed at the site terminology level. Quality Process templates are then solely performed with one of the Mobile applications. For Intuitive Mobile the template MUST be assigned to the Job in NET; Intuitive Inspection and Mobile Manager allows the Quality Process template to be added to a job and assigned to an inspector in the application. Definition of Quality Process: Quality Processes (QP) can be created and organized by the stage of construction, area, or categories of work (defect categories). You can determine by template if it will create a List with Items upon completion of the QP. Two Main Uses of QPs: Stage Based QPs - You can create stage based QPs that allow you to examine each step of the construction process, from foundation, framing, electrical rough, to painting and final finishes.. At each stage of the job you can inspect the job based on tasks identified in the QP Template. When exceptions are found a defect list can be created with associated item and photos. Final QPs You can create a QP based template that is organized by construction phase, area, or category (based on your preferences), that allows you to inspect a Job for specific task related events, and records the completion of the task with or without exceptions. Exceptions create work requests. The work requests become a permanent record under the job under List/Items. Adding a QP to the Job - QPs can be assigned/added & scheduled to the Job in NET. If using Intuitive Mobile, QPs must be assigned in the.net but can be scheduled and performed from the application. If using Intuitive Inspection or Mobile Manager, QPs can be added and performed directly. 1 P a g e

List Types Item Areas** Categories** QP Value Groups QP Types QP Values QP Signature Text QP Stages* QP Footers Inspector Types* **Only need to Add/Edit if grouping a QP by Area or Category. *Terminology can be changed. 2 P a g e

3 Set up 1: Add/Edit List Type TOOLS SYSTEM SETUP SETTINGS LIST SETTINGS LIST TYPES 1.) Under the heading List Settings Click List Types 3.) Add a List Type to the Description and an Abbreviation/Order Number. Example: Pre-Closing, TQI, Production 2.) Click NEW ENTRY 4.) Leave Show/Submit in Job Portal check box blank (recommended). Optional to include in Project Report 5.) Click ADD **List type allows the issues that are created from the inspection to be grouped together. Searches, Sorts and Filters can be applied using this field throughout the program-especially in reporting. Even if you are not going to create Items, this is a required field. ***If you are using the Job/Homeowner Portal and do not want issues that were created from a Quality Process viewable in the portal-do NOT CHECK the box for SHOW In Job Portal for the List Type that will be assigned to the QP Template. 3 P a g e

4 Set Up QP Templates Set up 1: Add QP Template-Header TOOLS SYSTEM SETUP QUALITY PROCESSES 1.) Click ADD 2.) Add the following Fields: Template Name - displays on reports, searches, the mobile, and even subject lines Template Type -Checklist Use Type -Classifies the QP Template Report Format - Checklist have two report formats- Standard and Overview Group By -Select Area, Category, or Stage Footer - only displays on the printed report List Type - designates the list type for any issues that are created as a result of the QP walk Required Signatures -check mark if signatures are required on the QP: select which signatures are required from the pull down list for owner and staff Create Items -how the issues are created and added- simply select individually or all at once under Save **All Fields are REQUIRED **QP Templates are created by the Administrator 4 P a g e

6 Set up 2: Add QP Template-Tasks and Line Items 1.) Select Tasks from drop down tables 2.) Click SAVE if you only need 10 tasks. SAVE & ADD MORE if you need more than ) Click DETAILS to add Line Items to each Task. 4.) Add LINE ITEM description. There MUST be at least 1 line item per Task. 5.) Click SAVE or SAVE & ADD MORE 6.)
