1 STEP 1: Accessing Enrolment Login Website: Go to and click on Enrol Now

2 STEP 2: Login to the Online Enrolment Site Enter your student number and your date of birth (in ddmmyyyy format) and click the login button. NOTE: Any conditions must be cleared before enrolment can commence:

3 STEP 3: General Consent and Disclosure Statement Read through the General Consent and Disclosure information, if you agree to the terms click on Consent (if you do not consent then you will not be permitted to enrol).

5 Read the information and click consent

6 STEP 4: Enrol into your Course Select your course and click to commence the enrolment process Select your course

7 STEP 5: Check your Personal Details and Add an Emergency Contact We highly recommend that you provide us with details of someone we can contact on your behalf in case of emergency, which you can do by clicking on Click to Change Emergency Contact. Add an emergency contact by clicking this button.

8 STEP 5 (continued): Check your Personal Details and Add an Emergency Contact When finished entering your emergency contact details click submit.

9 STEP 6: Personal Details Check your address (both session and permanent) and phone numbers are correctly recorded. If you need to change either your home address or session address, select the tab with Update session address. Once your contact details are correct click continue. Click this button to update your address. Click continue to move to the next screen. Session Address is where you live whilst studying, Permanent is where you may reside when not studying (i.e. away from UOW Campuses). This ensures that your active mail/living addresses reflect where your mail should be sent in and outside of session times.

10 You can copy an address from the Living to the Mailing address field with the buttons available. Preferred contact details must be entered. Click the submit button to save details. Confirmation will display in the corner once a successful save is achieved.

11 STEP 7: HECS Help Forms Below is for a typical CSS Unconfirmed Australia Citizen; other residency statuses screens may vary and students should read the information as it will change according to residency status. Select yes or no from the drop down box for each question and click continue.

12 If NO is selected for question above in relation to studying at least part of the course in Australia, the following page will be returned: If yes was answered in relation to studying at least part of the course in Australia, taken straight to eligible Tax File Number (TFN) form.

13 STEP 8: Provision of Tax File Number (TFN) If you intend deferring your HECS enter your tax file number and click continue. We recommend supplying your TFN even if you intend paying your HECS upfront. Once TFN is entered, no one, not even the student, can see a TFN except the staff who report this info to the government.

14 STEP 9: HECS HELP Statement Select yes from the drop down box and click continue.

15 If NO is selected to the above, the following page will return:

16 STEP 10: Obligations On-line enrolment process for Commonwealth Supported students Select yes from the drop down box for all three questions and click continue If NO is selected on obligations:

17 STEP 11: Declaration On-line enrolment process for Commonwealth Supported students Select yes from the drop down box and click continue.

18 STEP 12: HECS Help Options Choose how you wish to pay your Student Contribution/Tuition Fees (by clicking either full up front or HECS HELP loan ). If you wish to make a partial up front payment of $500 or more, select yes to this question. Click submit. Note: Not all students will have these options (eg permanent residents can only select the upfront method).

19 STEP 13: SA Help Options If you are applying for a HECS HELP loan and wish to add your student services and amenities fee (SSAF) to your loan, select yes or no from drop down list for questions on Course Commencement and Residency Status and then click Apply Now, otherwise click Do Not Apply (which means you ll pay the SSAF as you study).

21 STEP 14: Declaration for SA HELP

23 STEP 15: Membership Forms Choose yes or no for membership to the UniCentre and URAC and click continue. Select yes or no to both

24 STEP 16: Major Selection (for certain courses only) For some courses you may have the option to declare your major now. Select a major from the drop down list and select continue. If you do not know which major you wish to complete leave these blank and select continue. You will be able to change this later through SOLS. Not all students will see this screen. Students can read more about this in Familiarise yourself with this process button (opens as a hover over the current page).

25 STEP 17: Enrolling into your Subjects If Default subjects exist for the course, they will be selectable at this point: Enrol in your subjects for the coming session by entering the relevant subject code in the New Subject Code box and click add subject.

26 STEP 18: Confirming Correct Subject Addition BEWARE a subject may be offered in more than one semester, make sure to click the green add button for the correct session.

27 STEP 19 (continued): Adding Remaining Subjects Repeat this process for each subject you intend to study in the coming session. Once you have added all your subjects, click on continue. If you make an error, click the withdraw button for the subject you incorrectly enrolled in. Note: If you decide to change your subjects you can do so by logging back into SOLS and choosing enrolment variation however you will only be able to access SOLS after 1 hour following your initial enrolment.

28 STEP 20: User Account Creation Your UOW student account will now be created. Make sure to write down your username and password before leaving this screen. Note: SOLS cannot be accessed for 1 hour. If access is required prior to this, login with your Student ID barcode via Current Students page > SOLS Help link >Login Help button >ID and Barcode log in.

29 STEP 21: Demographics Surveys Complete the All questions. Look here

30 Click continue once you have provided the requested information.

31 STEP 22: Enrolment Summary Your enrolment summary will now be displayed. This should display a summary of your enrolment process today.

32 If your computer has printing facilities click on the print and continue button at the bottom of the screen. If no printer is available then cancel the print command. Note: If anything is incorrect, you can log back in after 1 hour.

33 STEP 23: Your Enrolment is Now Complete Congratulations, you have now completed the enrolment process! Make sure to close this screen before leaving the computer.
