36 What is a supply kit/ how big are the boxes/how many boxes? A: A supply kit includes 5 double walled boxes that are 24X18X18, and a roll of tape. How do I sign up? A: Go to our website, click on the create an account button, and fill out the registration form. You will receive an confirmation once your registration is complete. What is an "item?" A: Sample items include: box(s), bike, plastic bins, dorm refrigerator, suitcase, trunk, microwave, rugs, etc. We also store oversized items, such as furniture. You can store as many items as you need to. How much does it cost? A: We keep pricing VERY Simple! Your supplies are $35 (5 boxes & tape). Your storage is $45 per item for the entire semester. If you have large items (over 60 lbs, i.e. heavy trunk or furniture) our oversized price is $60. Do you provide only shipping services? A: Shipping is only a service we provide for our storage customers. How do I ship, How much is it to ship, Are their special labels? A: We charge $15 per box, plus the cost of FedEx ground shipping. We will provide you with yellow shipping labels when you pick up your supply kit. You will simply fill out the yellow labels and we will take care of all the other shipping details. If you decide last minute to ship something you can simply write your name shipping address legibly on your box and inform the team leader when they pick up your items.
37 How do I get more labels? A: Labels are provided on all our boxes, and you can print extra labels from our website for any unboxed items, You can also pick up additional labels from our sales table in Bruff when you pick up your supply kit. Do I have to wait in my room the entire time frame? A: While we prefer you to be there if at all possible, you can authorize a trusted individual (i.e. roommate, parent or a friend) to sign on your behalf in your absence. It is important to remember, someone has to be in the room when we arrive! If you need a specific time, our VIP package might be a better option for you. How do I label my bike? A: You will fill out and tape a label to the seat of your bike. Do not lock your tires or take your bike apart. We will take it right from the bike rack. How can I store my plastic containers? A: Yes, we recommend you pack your plastic containers with bedding and the like, and you can tape (2, max 3) containers together, if combined, they are not much bigger than one of our boxes. When and how do I get my packing supplies? What if I need more boxes? Do I need to bring a receipt? A: You can pick up your supplies from Bruff 11am-2pm everyday during the two weeks prior to move out week. If you need extra supplies last minute call us and we will be on campus and get you what you need. You do not need to bring anything besides your picture ID with you to pick up your supplies. Can we pick up and deliver storage off campus? A: Yes, we pick up and deliver anywhere in the greater New Orleans area for no extra charge.
38 How do I pack bedding and clothing? A: If it fits in a box put it in a box! If it does not you can use heavy duty trash bag or mattress bag. We will store these as well as long as they are labeled. Do you store cars? A: No, unfortunately we are not able to store cars. How do I pack computers, printers and TVs? A: Whenever possible store electronics in the original box. If you no longer have the original box we have TV boxes to purchase. Many smaller TV can fit in our standard box. Do the labels damage furniture? A: The labels are giant stickers. So yes they can damage furniture. If at all possible place the labels on the bottom of your item. When should I start packing? A: As soon as possible! A lot happens during move out week. We encourage you to pack a little at a time. This way it will insure you have time to securely pack all your items. Can you deliver storage items early (RAs and sports programs) A: We are locally owned and operated. If a date you need is not available, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate you. We will be making deliveries early for all student groups.
