2 BENEFITS OF PURCHASING A SAGE RIDGE SCHOOL LAPTOP SUPPORT All software and hardware support is included. Sage Ridge School takes care of all logistics related to repairs. Sage Ridge School support is not available to students after they have left the school. Lenovo reserves the right to deem a laptop uneconomical to repair if the laptop is so badly damaged that replacement is the best option. This is not common, however, when it happens a new laptop will be sent without (ADP). Families will have the opportunity to purchase ADP for the new laptop for 30 days after it has been received. LOANERS Loaner systems are comparable to the laptop offering and are available on a first come, first served basis. All loaner fees are included in the system price for three, or optionally four, successive academic years. Loaners are not available during the summer break or to students after they are no longer enrolled at SRS. WARRANTY All student owned laptop program systems are covered for at least three years from the date SRS takes delivery and includes accidental damage protection with no deductible. This warranty includes all fees associated with repair including pick-up and delivery of system from SRS. If a student matriculates within the warranty term, the manufacturer warranty remains valid without any support from the Sage Ridge School Technology Department. This warranty does not include theft or loss. Theft insurance is available as an option. All incidents of breakage FOR SRS OWNED SYSTEMS (i.e. 4th-5th grade, loaner, and rental laptops) will be assessed a minimum $ damage fee in addition to any repair fees not covered under warranty. The Director of Technology determines accident and damage fees. SAGE RIDGE SCHOOL CAMPUS SOFTWARE PACKAGE All Microsoft software comes with annual upgrades, free of charge, when available, for the length of the warranty. Availability of those upgrades is determined by the sole discretion of the Sage Ridge School Technology Department. IF YOU CHOOSE TO NOT PURCHASE THROUGH THE SRS LAPTOP You will be charged for any required SRS Software. You will be given a wireless network password and access to a single printer, no other support will be offered. You will not receive free loaners. You may rent a loaner at $10/day while your computer is being repaired. You will take care of all repairs required for your student s laptop in a timely fashion. Rentals Rental laptops are available to all SRS students. Laptop rental requests are due before July 2nd, 2018 for the school year. The rental rate is $65.00 per month with a ten month rental commitment of August-May (June will not be charged if the laptop is turned in on time). Requests made after the deadline will incur a $75.00 administrative fee. Each rental computer will be covered during the rental period by the Sage Ridge School laptop program. This will include all Microsoft updates, repair work, loaners, and accidental damage protection. Rental laptops must be returned by the last day of school. Late returns will incur a fee of $10.00 per day unless prior arrangements have been made. ENDING SUPPORT AGING SRS LAPTOPS: SRS does its best to work with laptops that have gone beyond their warranty but often there is little that can be done that is cost effective. Students with laptops outside their warranty are not eligible for loaners and the repair costs are at the discretion of the Director of Technology. It is strongly advised that laptops are replaced when their warranty expires. HOW TO ORDER: Go online to LaptopSchools.com, click register and select Sage Ridge School, or complete the enclosed order form and submit by June 22. Written forms may be submitted to either SRS or LaptopSchools.com.
