To ensure best possible performance, install Informatica AddressDoctor on a device that has fast input and output systems and sufficient memory. The device on which you install Informatica AddressDoctor should have a minimum of 512 MB RAM. Before you finalize the memory requirements, consider the size of the reference address databases that are required for your specific needs. Preloading databases significantly improves the performance of Informatica AddressDoctor. The device on which you install Informatica AddressDoctor must have sufficient RAM to preload all the required databases. The complete set of worldwide postal reference databases including supplementary databases for address enrichments requires around 40 GB of storage space. However, for typical installations that do not require all the databases, 20 to 25 GB of RAM should be sufficient. If you need to preload databases that together have a size of 3 GB or more, use a 64-bit operating system that offers you more flexibility with the RAM size. The maximum available RAM for a 32-bit operating system is 3 GB. IAD_RLN_57000_0001 1

2 Tip: If full preloading of databases is not an option, use solid-state drives to store the reference address databases. Solid-state drives are faster than hard-disk drives and can significantly improve performance especially when multithreading is used. System Configuration When you install Informatica AddressDoctor, verify that the operating system and the processor architecture are compatible on the installation host machine. Verify also that the installation host machine runs a Java Development Kit that is compatible with the processor architecture and the operating system. (United States) Features in Informatica AddressDoctor Version Informatica AddressDoctor introduces the following new features and enhancements in Version 5.7.0: Ability to Remove Locality and Province Descriptors from China and Japan Addresses Effective in version 5.7.0, you can remove the locality and province descriptors from China and Japan addresses if you set the following attributes of the Result element in Parameters.xml: The PreferredLanguage attribute to ENGLISH. The PreferredScript attribute to ASCII_SIMPLIFIED, ASCII_EXTENDED, LATIN, LATIN_1, or LATIN_ALT. 4 When you validate Japan addresses, Informatica AddressDoctor returns Tokyo instead of Tokyo-to and Kyoto instead of Kyoto-fu. Ability to Retrieve NIS Code as an Enrichment for Belgium Addresses Effective in version 5.7.0, you can retrieve the NIS code as an enrichment to validated Belgium addresses. To receive NIS codes in the validated output for Belgium addresses, you must license and install the supplementary reference address database, BEL5E1.MD. You must also set the EnrichmentSupplementaryBE attribute of the Process element in Parameters.xml to ON. Informatica AddressDoctor returns a combination of the five-digit NIS code and a four-digit Neighborhood ID along with the validated output for Belgium addresses. For example, Informatica AddressDoctor returns 21004A001 as an enrichment to the following address: Rue au Beurre Bruxelles BEL In this example, is the NIS code and A001 is the Neighborhood ID. Ability to Retrieve FIAS ID as an Enrichment for Russia Addresses Effective in version 5.7.0, you can retrieve the Federal Information Addressing System (FIAS) ID as an enrichment to validated Russia addresses. FIAS ID is an alphanumeric string. To receive FIAS codes in the validated output for Russia addresses, you must license and install the supplementary reference address database, RUS5E1.MD. You must also configure the EnrichmentSupplementaryRU attribute of the Process element in Parameters.xml to ON. Мичурина 32 Белорецк Башкортостан Респ RUS Ability to Retrieve UPRN as an Enrichment for the United Kingdom Addresses Effective in version 5.7.0, you can retrieve the Unique Property Reference Number (UPRN) as an enrichment to validated United Kingdom addresses. UPRN is a unique number that the United Kingdom government assigns to land and property units. UPRN can have up to 12 digits. To receive UPRN in the validated address output, you must license and install the supplementary reference address database, GBR5E1.MD, for the United Kingdom. You must also set the EnrichmentSupplementaryGB attribute of the Process element in Parameters.xml to ON. 5 Improved Coverage of Business Names and Addresses in the United Kingdom Effective in version 5.7.0, Informatica AddressDoctor extends the coverage of business names and addresses in the United Kingdom. If you need to validate business names and addresses for the entire United Kingdom, you must license and install the premium on-demand package of the reference address database for the United Kingdom. For more information about acquiring the premium on-demand package of the United Kingdom reference address database, contact an Informatica AddressDoctor sales representative. Effective in version 5.7.0, United Kingdom reference address databases have the following different versions: GBR5BI_03.ZIP and GBR5FC_03.ZIP, which contain the extended data for business names and addresses. These packages work with version and later. GBR5BI_02.ZIP and GBR5FC_02.ZIP, which contain the Royal Mail data with subbuilding descriptors. These packages work with version and later. GBR5BI_01.ZIP and GBR5FC_01.ZIP, which contain the Royal Mail data without subbuilding descriptors. These packages work with version and earlier. Ability to Retrieve Building-Level Rooftop Geocoordinates for the United Kingdom Addresses Effective in version 5.7.0, Informatica AddressDoctor extends the rooftop geocoding support up to building level. Support for building-level geocoordinates helps you retrieve rooftop geocoordinates even when the input address does not contain a house number. Informatica AddressDoctor considers rooftop geocoordinates as arrival point geocoordinates. To receive rooftop geocoordinates for the United Kingdom addresses, you must license and install the arrival point geocoding database for the United Kingdom and enable geocoding with the EnrichmentGeoCodingType attribute set to ARRIVAL_POINT. For example, Informatica AddressDoctor returns a geocoding status of EGC9 and latitude and longitude values of , for the following address: REDBOURNE HOUSE REDBOURNE AVENUE LONDON N3 2BT GBR Multilanguage Support for Locality Information in Switzerland Address Output Effective in version 5.7.0, you can configure Informatica AddressDoctor to return the locality information in Switzerland address results consistently in French, German, or Italian. In previous releases, Informatica AddressDoctor returned all information in the Switzerland address results in the main language of the region to which the address belonged. You can configure the PreferredLanguage attribute of the Result element in Parameters.xml to one of the following values and receive the locality information in the corresponding language: ALTERNATIVE_1 German ALTERNATIVE_2 French IAD_RLN_57000_0001 5

6 ALTERNATIVE_3 Italian If you set PreferredLanguage to DATABASE, Informatica AddressDoctor returns the address in the main language of the region to which the address belongs. For example, German in Zurich and French in Geneva. If you set PreferredLanguage to ENGLISH, Informatica AddressDoctor returns the locality information in English if the English name of the locality is different from the name in the local language. Informatica AddressDoctor returns the other address elements in the main language of the region to which the address belongs. Note that English locality names are available only for Zurich addresses. If you set PreferredLanguage to PRESERVE_INPUT, Informatica AddressDoctor returns the address in the same language in which you input the address. Note that Informatica AddressDoctor preserves the language only if the reference address database contains the address in the same language that you used for the input. If the input address contains more than one language, Informatica AddressDoctor returns the output in the database language, which is the main language of the region. Additionally, Informatica AddressDoctor returns the Street information for addresses in Biel/Bienne in the alternative language you configured for the PreferredLanguage attribute. The following examples show the result output you receive when you validate a Switzerland address with different PreferredLanguage settings: Input address is in German: Beundenweg Biel/Bienne CHE Output for PreferredLanguage = ALTERNATIVE_1 (German) Beundenweg Biel/Bienne Output for PreferredLanguage = ALTERNATIVE_2 (French) Chemin des Oeuches Bienne Output for PreferredLanguage = ALTERNATIVE_3 (Italian) Beundenweg Bienna In the ALTERNATIVE_3 example, you receive only the locality information in Italian. The Switzerland reference address database contains only the locality information in Italian for the address. Informatica AddressDoctor returns the street information in German, which is the database language for the address. In this case, Informatica AddressDoctor returns an extended element result status (EERS) value of E for the street element. An EERS value of E indicates that the output is in the database language because the reference address database does not contain the information in the specified language. 6 IAD_RLN_57000_0001

7 Ability to Validate Bulgaria Addresses in Cyrillic Script Effective in version 5.7.0, you can validate Bulgaria addresses in the Cyrillic script. By default, you receive the validated results in the Cyrillic script. To receive the results in the Latin script, set the PreferredScript attribute of the Result element in Parameters.xml to ASCII_EXTENDED, ASCII_SIMPLIFIED, LATIN, LATIN_1, or LATIN_ALT. The other enhancements to Bulgaria address validation include high-quality reference address data and improved parsing of locality information in Bulgaria address. Ability to Validate Slovakia Addresses that Contain Street Name Abbreviations Effective in version 5.7.0, Informatica AddressDoctor can validate the following street name abbreviations in Slovakia addresses: SNP. Slovak National Uprising ČSA. Czechoslovak Army arm. Army gen. General kpt. Captain mjr. Major nár. National národ. National nám. Square nábr. Waterfront Máj. The May pov. Uprising povst. Uprising čes. Czech Note: Informatica AddressDoctor supports these abbreviations only in the input address and replaces these abbreviations with the postal authority-specified names in the validated output. Ability to Retrieve Province ISO Codes in Batch, Interactive, and Fast Completion Results Effective in version 5.7.0, Informatica AddressDoctor extends the ISO province code support to the following countries: Canada France United States You receive the province ISO code in batch, interactive, and fast completion results. Informatica AddressDoctor returns only the province part, an alphanumeric string of up to three characters, of the ISO code. IAD_RLN_57000_0001 7

8 For example, Informatica AddressDoctor returns the province ISO code NC, which denotes North Carolina, for the following address: WESTON PKWY STE 150 CARY USA Informatica AddressDoctor also returns the two-character country ISO2 code. For the address in the example, you receive US which is the country ISO2 code for the United States. Improved Parsing and Validation of India Addresses Informatica AddressDoctor continues to improve the India address parsing, validation, and reference data quality. Fixed Limitations in Version The following table describes customer-reported limitations that were fixed in version Country CR Number Description All countries When you validate an address in the batch mode, Informatica AddressDoctor makes incorrect changes to addresses. This issue occurs when the MaxResultCount attribute is set to 1. All Countries When you validate addresses from the following countries, Informatica AddressDoctor fails to recognize the country to which the address belongs: - Heard Island and McDonald Islands - Bolivia - Congo; - Venezuela Brazil When you validate a Brazil address, an unhandled exception error occurs. This issue occurs if the input address contains four DeliveryAddressLine items. France When you validate a France address, Informatica AddressDoctor incorrectly updates the house number. This issue occurs if the street name in the input address is incomplete. France When you validate a France address in the certified mode, Informatica AddressDoctor stops functioning. This issue occurs if you input the address in FormattedAddressLine items and the input address contains elements that Informatica AddressDoctor does not recognize. India When you validate an address that contains an incorrect locality name, Informatica AddressDoctor makes extensive corrections in the address and returns an incorrect result. Ireland When you validate an Ireland address, Informatica AddressDoctor fails to correct typos in street names. 8 IAD_RLN_57000_0001

Japan When you process Japan address in parse mode, Informatica AddressDoctor incorrectly parses numeric values in the DeliveryAddressLine field to wrong fields. Japan When you validate a Japan address, Informatica AddressDoctor parses the alphabetic part of the residential building number to the building name field. This problem occurs when the residential building name contains alphabets. Japan When you validate a Japan address, Informatica AddressDoctor incorrectly parses the room number to the building name field. This issue occurs when the room number is an alphabet. Japan When you validate a Japan address, Informatica AddressDoctor parses the room number to the street information field. This issue occurs when the input does not contain the building name or CHOME information. Japan When you validate a Japan address that is in Latin script, Informatica AddressDoctor leaves out the information entered in DeliveryAddressLine fields from the result output. Japan When you process a Japan address that contains numeric province data, Informatica AddressDoctor prefixes the province number to the street information. This issue occurs in the batch and parse modes. United Kingdom When you validate a United Kingdom address, Informatica AddressDoctor fails to correct the building information. This issue occurs if the building information in the input is incomplete and the reference address database contains a range for the building number. United Kingdom When you validate a United Kingdom address, Informatica AddressDoctor swaps building, street name, and subbuilding information in the result output. This issue occurs when the input address is in the partially fielded format. This issue occurs when the input street name uses a nominal number instead of an ordinal number. For example, Bay 44 Street instead of Bay 44th Street. United States When you validate a United States address, Informatica AddressDoctor fails to validate the street information if part of the input street name is in numerals instead of letters. For example, 5 Point Road. United States When you validate a United States address in the certified mode, the LACSLink process fails. This issue occurs if you enter the dual address in the DeliveryAddressLine of the input address. United States When you validate a United States address, Informatica AddressDoctor parses the building information to the Street field even if the input contains the word building. United States When you validate a United States address, Informatica AddressDoctor returns the preferred locality information even for results with Ix status. United States When you validate a United States address that contains a PO Box number, Informatica AddressDoctor incorrectly modifies the ZIP code. This issue occurs if the USPS record does not contain the PO Box number.
