2 Elmhurst Energy Systems Limited has an unrivalled reputation and experience in the provision of energy rating software, training and accreditation. The Elmhurst Streamline EPC software has been developed to replace Elmhurst s previous Streamline SAP software and integrates the latest RdSAP 2009 methodology. It combines Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) production and Streamline s original stock reporting functionality into one convenient on-line system. Department Name Address Town County Postcode Software Contact Name Telephone Number Fax Number Address Software Fees New Customers The initial purchase of Streamline EPC is 3,000 plus VAT, this includes a one year software licence, the setup of your website area and two system administrator licenses. Annual Renewal Fee The software maintenance price of plus VAT is an annual charge and will be invoiced one month prior to expiry date. Elmhurst requires a notice period of six weeks prior to the annual licence expiry date, should you wish to terminate the licence agreement. Your order for Streamline EPC will be allocated to one of our technical consultants who will liaise with you during the setup of your system, and will discuss your training requirements with you.

3 Training Flexible training packages are available to meet our customers needs. Training requirements can be discussed on initial contact and a plan can be formulated for successful implementation of the Streamline EPC System. Our training department can be contacted on Our training comprises the options below, training options can be tailored to suit individual customer requirements: New Streamline EPC Software training (on initial set up) RdSAP training (to produce EPRs) Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) training for those who wish to produce Government endorsed EPCs. Please note: General use of the system and production of un-lodged energy assessments (EPRs/Energy Performance Rating) can be undertaken by any system user, but only an Accredited DEA may produce an EPC. 1. New Streamline EPC software and system administration training (Highly recommended for data managers) Course Details: This half day course is aimed at Data Managers and general system users of the new Streamline EPC software. It will explain how: To manage the software and the database To instruct EPCs or enter EPRs To import existing data To run the reporting functionality. We will also provide a quick overview of the RdSAP methodology. The half day course can be held at your place of work and will include transfer of all existing data (including EPCs lodged through Elmhurst Energy Systems), plus the initial set-up of users. Course Costs: plus VAT per person, subject to a minimum 1500 plus VAT. Reasonable travel expenses will be charged for an on-site visit. 2. RdSAP Training (Highly recommended for system users who wish to produce EPRs) Please note: General use of the system and production of un-lodged energy assessments (EPRs/Energy Performance Ratings) can be undertaken by any system user, but only an Accredited DEA may produce an EPC. Course Details: This one day course is aimed at individuals who wish to understand the Streamline EPC Software more fundamentally: Covers the history, scope and data collection requirements of RdSAP The knowledge gained on this course will allow attendees to visit properties and collect the correct data and successfully use the new Streamline EPC Software to produce EPRs.

4 The course can be held at your place of work or at Elmhurst s Lutterworth training facility. Course Costs: The cost is 250 plus VAT per person, subject to a minimum 1500 plus VAT. Reasonable travel expenses will be charged for an on-site visit 3. DEA Accreditation Training (Mandatory for those wishing to produce EPCs) There is only one route to DEA Accreditation which will enable personnel to be licensed to produce EPCs: New Entrant Qualification Training courses can be run at your own offices, subject to minimum numbers, or alternatively delegates can attend one of the regular events at Elmhurst s training facility. Further information is available on our website or contact the Training Department at our Lutterworth office by telephone on or by to EATraining@elmhurstenergy.co.uk Accreditation As a Government Approved Accreditation Body we offer a comprehensive Accreditation scheme with many strands to meet all areas of the energy assessment profession encompassing domestic and commercial buildings. In order to produce legally valid EPCs you must complete the relevant training (outlined above) followed by a request to join an Accreditation body such as Elmhurst, to become an Accredited DEA. Please note: There are associated membership costs with becoming a DEA and all DEAs who produce EPCs will be subject to a fee each time they submit a survey. In order to facilitate this, please forward a suitable image in Jpeg format to softwaresales@elmhurstenergy.co.uk for inclusion in the design of the website. Data Import and Export Elmhurst is able to import existing data from previous Streamline databases. This will enable all properties previously assessed using Elmhurst Streamline SAP to be converted to the new RdSAP format. This import can be undertaken by users or directly by Elmhurst and is free of charge, unless significant data manipulation is required, in which case a reasonable hourly charge will be levied (and quoted before commencement of work).

5 Formatted data held on other systems can be imported to the new Streamline EPC system via a CSV file. This will involve conversion work which can be done either by a landlord s own IT department or by Elmhurst at an additional cost (price on application). Once data is held within the New Streamline EPC system it can be easily exported to applications such as Excel and Access. This can then be used to populate bespoke management software for detailed ad-hoc analysis. 6 System Administrator / Data Manager Licences The two administrator licences that come with the system (which do not necessarily have to be DEAs) are normally sufficient, unless there are numerous office locations from which the database needs to be accessed. Administrators can set up internal or external surveyor details and allocate surveys to them. Any number of surveyors and clerical users can be set up (free of charge). Please show details for the System Administrators to be included in your licence. One of these is usually the main software contact. 7 Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) An EPC can only be produced by a qualified Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) registered on an authorised Accreditation Scheme. EPCs that have been produced by an Elmhurst Accredited DEA can be imported into your Streamline EPC database. Within the Streamline EPC software you are able to allocate work to Elmhurst Accredited DEAs who are not directly employed by you. These are DEAs you have made an agreement with and they will need to be setup to receive your instructions. All EPCs produced on your behalf (by Internal DEAs employed or External DEAs instructed) will be invoiced to you after the end of each month.
