3 GETTING STARTED STEP 1 Open the Shop Main Street home page Go to: STEP 2 Click on the Join Program button From any page on the Shop Main Street site, click on one of the green Join Program buttons. STEP 3 On the Merchant Account Registration page, fill in all required fields marked with an asterisk STEP 4 Click on the link to read our Terms of Use The Terms of Use will open in a separate browser tab or window. STEP 5 STEP 6 Click on the green Join button to accept the Terms of Use and join the Shop Main Street Program To continue with the initial registration process, click on the blue Account tab OR click on the blue Verify your business address link 3

4 BUSINESS ADDRESS & CATEGORIES Validate that your contact information is correct and choose the category(s) that apply to your business. This will make it easier for shoppers to find you when performing a search. STEP 1 If Shop Main Street has automatically populated a Billing/Mailing Address, check carefully to ensure that they are correct Make any necessary changes by clicking in the appropriate field and typing in the correct information. It s very important that this information is complete and correct. STEP 2 Click on the arrow under Business Category to open the drop-down menu Click on a menu item to select your main business category. STEP 3 Click on the arrow under Product or Service to open the drop-down menu opposite your business category Choose your main product or service from the drop down menu (for example, for a restaurant, this would be the type of cuisine). 4

5 BUSINESS ADDRESS & CATEGORIES STEP 4 Repeat if desired for additional Business Categories and Products or Services You may have as many Business Categories and Products or Services as you wish but you do not need to have more than one. Click on the green Add New button if you need more Categories. Click on the red X button to delete Categories. STEP 5 If you have a Facebook page and you know the URL (Web address), enter it next to the Facebook icon If you don t know the URL, click the blue Connect Facebook link. (Coming soon) STEP 6 If you have a Twitter account and you know the URL, enter it next to the Twitter icon If you don t know the URL, click the blue Connect Twitter link. (Coming soon) STEP 7 IMPORTANT! Click the green Save button at the bottom of the page when you are finished NOTE: After you save your address and category information, an instructions box will pop up to help you with the rest of the registration process. The pop-up will disappear when you click on a blue link. STEP 8 Click on the blue Tell us the payment method you want to use link to go to the next page 5

6 PAYMENT METHOD On the Payment Screen, choose which method you would like to use to pay for Shop Main Street. You can pay through a bank account or with a credit card. Your payments will equal the dollar value of the reward offers plus the marketing fees payable to the Shop Main Street program. STEP 1 You should now be on the Payment Information page If not, click on the blue Account tab and then on the gray Payment Information tab. STEP 2 STEP 3 Click the green Set button to save your choice You should now be on the Payment Information page Fill in the information requested on the screen and click on the green Save button. STEP 4 STEP 5 You will see a message confirming your selection Click the blue Locations tab to create your business s profile 6

7 MERCHANT PROFILE On this screen you will create a profile for each of your business locations. Shoppers will see and rely on your profile, so it s important to describe your business accurately and invitingly. Many businesses simply use the text and images from their existing web site. STEP 1 Click on the blue Update and approve your public location link to update and approve your public location profile This is the description of your business that shoppers will see. STEP 2 STEP 3 Verify the address and contact information for your business and correct any errors Click the blue Upload Image link to upload your logo or any other image For images, please supply one of the following file types: jpeg, gif, or tif. STEP 4 STEP 5 Enter your website address Click the Browse button in the uploader (not shown) to find an image on your computer, then click the green Upload button to upload your image 7

8 MERCHANT PROFILE STEP 6 Describe your business in the Description window, or copy and paste from your website or another source Don t forget to include your hours of operation. STEP 7 STEP 8 STEP 9 IMPORTANT! Click the green Save button when you are finished Confirm your address by clicking on the This is my address button You will now be on the View Profile page Approve your profile by making sure the information looks the way you want and click the green Approve button to save your profile. STEP 10 If you want to add another location, click on the green New Location button 8

9 EVERYDAY OFFERS Every merchant in the Shop Main Street program is required to have at least one offer available to eligible shoppers in the program, every time they shop. This is your Everyday Offer. When you register for Shop Main Street, the system prompts you to create an Everyday Offer and a Cap. The Cap is the maximum reward you are willing to pay on any one transaction. Shoppers may be eligible for multiple offers, but their rewards can never exceed your Cap without your express permission. STEP 1 STEP 2 STEP 3 STEP 4 STEP 5 STEP 6 If you are not on the Offers page, click on the blue Offers tab to open the Offer Manager Click on the green Edit button to open the Everyday Offers tool Fill in the desired percentages: at least 5% as your Standard Offer and the maximum reward you want to give per transaction for your Offer Cap IMPORTANT! Click the green Save button when finished to activate your Everyday Offers and Cap IMPORTANT! Click the green Approve button to activate your Everyday Offers and Offer Cap To add other specials and incentive offers, click on the green Add button in the category where you want to create an offer You will see a number of offers to choose from within each category. 9

10 ENROLLMENT COMPLETED You have finished the enrollment process and can log out now or spend some time touring all the other great features of this powerful online rewards program. Before your business can become an official Shop Main Street merchant, there s just one last step we need to do. The final step is for us to confirm your Merchant Identification Number (MID) which we do by performing a test transaction for a small amount (usually $1 or less) and make sure it matches our database. Once that happens (it takes less than a week), you will receive an letting you know that your account is ready to go live. When you receive the , click on the blue Locations tab and click on Boarding Status. You will see a notice near the bottom that says All required steps have been completed. Please publish your location by clicking here. By completing this final step you will be LIVE in the Shop Main Street Program and your offers will be available to shoppers. The Dashboard provides a summary of all of your activity in the Shop Main Street program. You can access more details by using the navigation controls (blue tabs and green buttons) on the Dashboard. This is a portion of your home page or Dashboard. This is the page you will see every time you log in. 10
