1 Attorney Registration Lucas County Clerk of Courts efiling Portal Please Note: To successfully register for an account with the Lucas County Clerk of Courts efiling Portal an attorney must be a valid attorney in our current Case Management System. If you cannot locate your name or Bar # on the Valid Attorneys document presented during registration or you reach the registration page and receive an error saying you have entered an invalid Attorney ID#, you are likely not registered with our current Case Management System. Please contact Laura Watt in the Civil Clerks Office at Access to efiling is not instantaneous upon registration with the Lucas County Clerk of Courts efiling portal. Due to automated communication between the efiling system and our current Case Management System, access to efiling currently requires overnight approval. If your documents must be filed today and you have not already registered and been approved to file through the efiling portal, please file in another manner. To begin registration with the Lucas County Clerk of Courts efiling portal, open the following link: ( Click "Attorney Registration" under Attorney Portal on the quick links tab located on the left side of the browser as indicated by the red arrow in the image below.

2 Read through the presented Terms of Use and the Administrative Order Regarding efiling/rule 10 and confirm that you agree to follow our process as instructed by clicking the yellow I AGREE to efiling terms/continue efile Registration >> button. Upon loading the List of Valid Attorneys for the Lucas County Clerk of Courts, please search the document as indicated making note of your Bar Number and Full Name as it appears in that document. Automatic activation of your account requires that the information you enter matches your listing exactly as we have the information stored in our system. When you have noted your listing in this document, return to the top of the document and click the light blue Click Here To Complete Registration button. At the prompt - enter your bar number exactly as you found it in the List of Valid Attorneys step, above, and your and then click Next.

3 Enter, at minimum, the indicated information in the required fields red with asterisk (*). Password * Confirm Password * First Name * Last Name * Address * City * State * Zip * Phone * When the required fields have been completed, Click Finish. A follow-up should arrive at the account used to register, from Lucas County Clerk of Courts and with a subject that reads Lucas County Efiling Registration Confirmation. Please open and follow instructions for address confirmation.

4 After confirming the address, you should receive an on-screen message within the efiling portal stating that your address has been confirmed, as seen above, and a log in screen may be accessed from this point by clicking the Use Attorney portal button. This account has now been registered for efiling but has not yet been activated to efile. Overnight, our automated process will verify that Bar Number and First and Last Name for new registrants match exactly what is recorded in our Case Management System for those users. Username is the registered address and password was set by the user earlier in the registration process. When account has been activated for filing, the registered account should receive notification of approval for efiling. If unable to log in and successfully efile after 8:30 a.m. on the following business day, there may be an issue with the registration.

5 After successful registration, confirmation, and Active efiler approval, the following view should be available under the efile tab when logged into the efiling portal.
