6 Chemistry US & Virginia History Astronomy Grade History: This screen provides the ability to review grades from previous school years.

8 Jones, Mary Mary Notifications: This will provide you the option of having automated reports sent to your , and the address of any others you wish to receive reports. You choose which reports you want and how often you want them sent.

9 Doe jdoe Account Preferences allows you to change your settings ( address, username, password).

10 Mary Jones School Messenger is the division s call/alert system (for weather closings, announcements, attendance, etc.) Clicking the School Messenger link will bring up your SchoolMessenger portal. This page will have two tabs Messages and Contacts. The first page, Messages, will display any messages sent out in the last 30 days. You have the ability to replay or reread any of these messages from this page.

11 Clicking Contacts will bring up a list of all students you have in Staunton City Schools. Each child will have an Edit button in the right column. Clicking Edit will bring up a page where you can set the call preferences for each phone number and address in our system (see next page of this document). NOTE: If you have more than one child, each child s call preferences will need to be updated individually by going to the Edit page.

12 Each phone number and address we have in our system will show up on this page. For each one you can select and deselect which calls you want to go to that number. For example, if you wanted Attendance calls and General calls to go to (540) , you would check those boxes. If you don t want attendance calls to go to (540) you would uncheck that box. After making any changes, remember to click Save at the bottom of the page.

13 Some SchoolMessenger Notes: SMS (texting) is currently not enabled. More information will come out should it be enabled in the future. *General messages include weather announcements (closings and delays) and messages from your school principal. *School Hour Emergencies: Regardless of what you do to the School Hour Emergencies column, should there be an emergency during the school day calls will automatically go out to all numbers in our system. *If you have more than one student, you will need to set up each child s call preferences individually.

Clicking on any of the indicated links will open a screen that will show you what is currently on file and provide the option to make changes. After making any changes, always remember to click the SUBMIT button.

15 Test Scores: The Test Scores option provides an overview of SOL test scores. Clicking on the link for a test will bring up a screen showing the test score and the result (PA=Pass Advanced, PP=Pass Proficient, NP=Not Passed).

16 Additional Options Teacher Comments: Displays the same teacher comments as listed on the report card. School Bulletin: The School Bulletin option is currently not available. Access Logs: Allows you to view a log of dates and times your Parent Portal account was accessed. My Schedule: Displays your child s current schedule. School Information: Provides basic school information, such as principal s name, address, phone number, and fax number.
