1 Circular No 025/2014 Dated 7 Feb 2014 To Members of the Malaysian Bar and pupils in chambers Malaysia/Singapore Bench and Bar Games and Quadrangular Games 2014, Kuala Lumpur (1 to 3 May 2014) Bar Council Malaysia and the Law Society of Singapore, in keeping with tradition, are organising the annual Malaysia/Singapore Bench and Bar Games ( Games ) from 1 to 3 May 2014 (Thursday to Saturday). This time around, the Kuala Lumpur Bar ( KL Bar ) Committee will host the Games. The Chief Justice of Malaysia, YAA Tun Arifin b Zakaria, has been invited to lead the Malaysian contingent. We are also pleased to announce that the Quadrangular Games 2014 between Bar Council Malaysia, the Law Society of Singapore, the Advocates Association of Sarawak and the Sabah Law Association will be held at the same time. You are encouraged to contact the conveners directly to arrange for practice sessions.

5 Accommodation and Transport Accommodation and transport will be provided free of charge for pupils in chambers who are selected to represent the Malaysian Bar. For other participants, transport will be provided based on availability, and on a first-come, first-served basis. To make reservations for accommodation, Members of the Malaysian Bar and pupils in chambers are requested to complete and submit the attached reservation form to Rajan Uvanarajan of KL Bar Committee by at rajan@klbar.org.my, or by fax at Insurance Insurance coverage for all participants during the Games will be taken care of by the Bar Council Secretariat. Adjournment of Cases The Chief Justice of the Federal Court of Malaysia, YAA Tun Arifin b Zakaria and the President of the Industrial Court, YA Puan Susila Sithamparam have agreed to permit the adjournment of cases fixed on 1 to 3 May 2014 (Thursday to Saturday) for all participants of the Games. Members are requested to apply for adjournment by 3 Apr 2014 (Thursday). A copy of the abovementioned letters are attached for your reference.
