19 ACTION ITEMS: PACKAGES Category Action Item Response Mailpiece Design Package Platform Industry is requesting a process for sharing mailpiece design approvals through an automated process. Concerns expressed by MSP s that they have to contact Mail Owners to retrieve the approval letters and approved images. Mailpiece Design Analysts (MDAs) provide evaluations of electronic and/or hardcopy samples in an internal database called ServiceNow. The electronic files are saved in ServiceNow and hardcopy samples are stored by the MDAs for a period of two years. The communication between the customer and/or USPS employees are also documented and saved in ServiceNow. Customers and USPS personnel are provided a ServiceNow Incident/Ticket Number, which is used to access the evaluation provided by the MDA and the sample that was submitted. This will be effective November 1, In addition, there is a CR open to add a field to mail.dat and mail.xml to place the ticket or case number for approved pieces which will be included in the next structural release. evs Migration to Package Platform () - Work with Package Platform/eVS Council to define existing reporting/invoicing and future state. 33 EPS Data through IV Pilot Feedback Timing of IV data feed vs. when account is debited- add switch to only include transactions that are paid for The IV feed Bank Account Withdrawal report does not contain the transactions included for the aggregate debit. As transactions are finalized they are sent to IV for reporting, the ACH Debit occurs once per day at 6 PM and includes all finalized transactions for the 24 hour period. The IV feed is intended to provide raw transactional data at a frequency determined by the subscriber, this includes daily, weekly or monthly pulls. To determine the transactions that are included in the bank account withdrawal record the subscriber would need to join the bank account withdrawals to the daily transaction feed. This only applies to ACH debit customers. The following enhancements have been requested for both the EPS mailing details report and the IV feed: Add the Job ID from PostalOne! Job ID is currently visible (if provided in edoc) on the Commercial Mailing & Shipping Details report, but is not on the Postage Statement Details feed from IV. Add the edoc submitter CRID and CRID nickname CR 1177 has been logged and is pending scheduling. 33

34 EPS Data through IV Pilot Feedback Adjustment Transactions provisioned through IV have incomplete information missing date, Job ID, description CR285 has been logged and is pending scheduling The Commercial Mailings IV data does not include piece counts for statement activity, CR286 has been logged to add piece count to commercial mailings Piece counts are included in online reporting through EPS and in the Postage Statement Details IV feed The edoc Mailing Date field includes a time which because it is all zeros ( T00:00:00 ) impact their ability to filter/sort on this field. CR287 has been logged to add the time to a separate field The Postage Statement Details report does not include any data field that can be used to search on the P1 Dashboard. It does not include the Job ID or Postage Statement Number. It offers a Postage Statement Line ID and a Transaction ID, but the mailer cannot search the dashboard to find the particular mailing. CR288 has been logged and is under review Postage Statement Number is on the Commercial Mailing data feed. When downloading the raw data, customers should join on the EPS Transaction Number. 34

35 IV - Role Planning Like Enterprise, Informed Visibility is an Independent Service that is not granted until access has been specifically granted. Identify which user for the CRID should become the BSA for Informed Visibility. 36 EPS - Role Planning Within the BCG, USPS offers a user role hierarchy for companies to control access to their organizational data. The first BCG User for a CRID is granted BSA Access to all Core Services. BCG Service User Roles (at the CRID level) Each subsequent user must be approved for access to Core Services by the BSA (or the BSA Delegate). For planning purposes, the user that will be linking permits once Enterprise is established must have access (at any level) to Manage Mailing Activity, one of the Core Services. BSA BSA s or Business Service Administrators control user access to services within the BCG. BSA s are assigned to a unique service for a specific CRID. BSA s can be configured to control one or more services. BSA Delegate BSA s can promote users to the role of BSA Delegate. Once promoted, BSA s and BSA Delegates have co-control over the access to services. User Users have been granted access to BCG services but possess no administrator privileges. 36

37 EPS - Role Planning Enterprise is an Independent Service that is not granted until access has been specifically granted. CRID 1234 Identify which user for the CRID should become the BSA for Enterprise. This should be the person who will create your Enterprise Account(s) and manage access for all other users for the CRID BCG BSA/BSA Delegates BCG Users To allow flexibility within Enterprise, there are additional roles that may be assigned at the account level.
