The slides are of productions Bassett produced during his tenure in the Theatre department. The published materials covers Bassett s time at the Theatre Department and the other is an autobiography. Related Material: MS-95 Ohio Theatre Alliance Records Processed by: This finding aid was written according to DACS standards by Nina Herzog, November 2015 Arrangement: The collection is arranged into three series: Series I: Slides Series II: General Information Series III: Videos Biographical/Historical Note: Abe Bassett was founding director of Wright State University s Theatre Program, leading the program from He played a leading role in the design of the Creative Arts Center which opened in While at Wright State, Abe is credited with developing one of the finest university theatre programs in the Midwest, and one of the largest in the state of Ohio. Abe was also a founding member of the Ohio Theatre Alliance. Scope and Content Series I contains the slides taken by Abe Bassett during the productions he produced. These run from November 1970 to Series II contains general information on the theatre program and Abe Bassett. This includes a listing of all of the productions from along with director notes on some of the shows. Series III contains videos from One of the videos is a retrospective on the Wright State University Theatre.
