Users who used the CA Spool AFP Transformers in previous CA SPool releases are impacted. CSPOOL 2039 E0C - ADD SUPPORT FOR DRIVPRM HSHIFT/VSHIFT Support for DRIVPRMn HSHIFT and VSHIFT parameters has been added for AFP to PCL transformations (A2PC). When tuningoption = "manual" is specified in the <margintuning section of the PCL generator definition that section is searched for an existing Shiftby definition. If found, the values in DRIVPRMn HSHIFT and VSHIFT override the existing Shiftby values. If no Shiftby definition exists, it will be added using the DRIVPRMn HSHIFT and VSHIFT values. Some files require different horizontal and vertical shifts based on the physical printer responsible for printing the file. This support is now available in V14.0 of the CA Spool Java Transformers. Users who need to manage the horizontal and vertical shifts based on the physical printer responsible for printing the file are impacted. Create separate project files based on the device type name defined for the target printer node on the DEFNODE statement. CSPOOL 2038 E0C - ADD SUPPORT FOR OUTPUT STMT OVERLAYF/OVERLAYB Support for OUTPUT statement OVERLAYF and OVERLAYB has been added. A ConstantPrint component must already exist in the original project file. CSPOOL 2037 E0C - ADD SUPPORT FOR TRANSFORMERS USER EXIT ESFU014X Support for a Transformers user exit, ESFU014X and standalone exit ESFU014 has been added. In previous CA Spool releases, the legacy C-based AFP Transformers provided User exit 12 however there was no user exit for the Java based Transformers. The supplied exit ESFU014X contains the same sample code for XES to AFP conversion that was contained in ESFU012X. This support is now available in V14.0 of the CA Spool Java Transformers. Users of User exit 12 in previous releases are impacted. CSPOOL 2036 E0C - ADD SUPPORT FOR TRANSFRM OPTION X - EBOKS Support for TRANSFRM OPTION X has been added. X - Activates special Danish AFP-to-PDF e-boks transformation support for the following inline control records:!!ebox!! - PDF DocBreak and add EBOKSxxxx records.!!pass!! - PDF DocBreak and pass record as it is. With this option it is possible to write EBOKS PDF files as individual "Post Danmark e-boks Decentral L n" HFS files using the ConstantPrint component within the d2eproj file. In previous CA Spool releases, the legacy C-based AFP Transformers supported the X option in combination with I or J options. The J option support is now handled by the ConstantPrint component within the d2eproj file. This support is now available in V14.0 of the CA Spool Java Transformers. Users who need to transform Danish e-boks files are impacted. CSPOOL 2035 E0C - ADD SUPPORT FOR LOWER CASE I AND DRIVPRMN BINX Support for the lower case 'i' transformer option, DRIVPRMn BINx and INTRAY Node statement parameters has been added. This support is now available in V14.0 of the CA Spool Java Transformers. Users who need to manage the paper source on a given printer are impacted. CSPOOL 2034 ADD JAVA TRANSFORMER OPTION J - DOCBREAKING SUPPORT When breaking documents into small pieces using the Document Breaking component, it is not possible to write those files as separate CA Spool files. CA Spool Java Transformer option J has been added to enable these files to be written into CA Spool. A large AFP file needs to be broken into smaller pieces in order to utilize the stapling function on the target printer. Previously, files could be broken into pieces but they were written to a USS directory and there was no mechanism to write them as CA Spool files after the transformation process was complete. Users who require the files created by the Document Breaking component to be written to CA Spool as separate files are impacted. This is likely to be users interested in transforming into PCL. CA SPOOL JAVA TRANSFORMERS Version 12.0 CA SPOOL JAVA TRANSFORMERS Version 14.0 CSPOOL 2055 ENHANCE STAND ALONE CA SPOOL JAVA TRANSFORMER SUPPORT Add support for running the CA Spool Java Transformers as a stand-alone self-contained started task, which allow MTC Content Viewer users to transform reports without having the transformation managed by CA Spool. CA SPOOL JAVA TRANSFORMERS Version 14.0 CSPOOL 2087 ESF4340 MEMORY ALLOCATION FAILED - SOFT FONTS When the CA Spool Java Transformers are used to transform an AFP file to PCL using Soft font support, ESF4340 MEMORY ALLOCATION FAILED - SOFT FONTS may be issued. This will ocurr if the AFP data references an Outline font. The automatic addition of fonts to the d2emfct file that occurs when Soft font support is used is updated to identify the CZ prefix of Outline fonts. When a charset starting with CZ is encountered, the d2emfct definition will be built so that Soft font support will not attempt to process the Outline font. The transformation fails with RC=8. The following messages can be seen on the D2ELOG in the CA Spool Java Transformer FSS task. ESF4340 File 3 FL1 (PRT1/FL1) - Memory allocation failed - Soft Fonts ESF4332 File 3 FL1 (PRT1/FL1) - A2PC transformation failed with RC=8 Users of the CA Spool Afp to PCL Java Transformers may be impacted.
