4 1 Scope This manual describes how to establish the trial environment (client environment) marked with red in Figure 1. It includes below contents. Client Environment 1. Rhapsody, Rhapsody Design Manager Client Extension, Rhapsody D-Case Extension 2. 5 3 Preparation 3.1 Create jazz.net account Jazz.net account is required for downloading Rational Rhapsody Design Manager Client Extension. Access to click Register in the upper right of the window (Figure 2). Filling form, click Submit in the lower left of the window (Figure 3). Figure 2 Figure 3 5/33

6 3.2 Create My IBM account My IBM account is required for downloading Rational Rhapsody evaluation version. Access to and click Register in the upper right of the window (Figure 4). Filling form, click Continue in the lower right of the window (Figure 5). Filling form, click Continue in the lower right of the window (Figure 6). 8 4 Establish client environment 4.1 Download IBM Install Manager 1. Access to and click Download n.n.n Release of IBM Installation Manager. 2. Select platform. 8/33

10 4.2 Install IBM Install Manager 5. Decompress downloaded zip file, and execute install.exe. Click next. 6. Click Next 10/33

12 Select IBM Rational Rhapsody V8.0.3 Evaluation Multiplatform Multilingual eassembly, and click Next in the lower of the window. Fill forms, and click I confirm in the lower of the window. 12/33

27 5 Install Rational Rhapsody D-Case Extension 5.1 Copy Rational RhapsodyPlugin Decompress DCaseProfile2_yymmdd.zip ( yymmdd shows year/month/date) into the directory, you installed Rational Rhapsody (e.g. C: Program Files IBM Rational Rhapsody 8.0.x ( x shows the version). 27/33

28 6 Install OSLC Add on into D-Case Editor 6.1 Install Java Eclipse needs Java runtime version 6 or later. Access to the below URL to download Java runtime installer, and install Java virtual machine Install Eclipse Download Eclipse Access to the below URL to download Eclipse 3.7(Indigo), Eclipse IDE for Java Developers Decompress Eclipse Decompress downloaded Zip file into the directory of your choice Install Plug in Add files to execute D-Case editor on Eclipse. Start Eclipse. Set Workspace in any directory. Select Help > Install New Software 28/33

29 Select Indigo on Work with:, and spread Modeling. Check Graphic Modeling Framework(GMF) Runtime and OCL End User SDK. Push Next. 29/33

32 Installation of Plug in is started. When the notice of finishing installation appears, restart Eclipse. When there is no problem at restarting Eclipse, exit Eclipse. 6.3 Install D-Case Editor Access to the below URL to download D-Case Editor binary, and copy the file into the directory dropins of the folder where Eclipse was installed. 6.4 Install D-Case Oslc Addon Copy Jar file Decompress D-Case Oslc Addon.zip, and copy decompressed jar file into the directory dropins of the folder where Eclipse was installed. 32/33

33 6.4.2 Check installation Starting Eclipse, and select Help > About Eclipse menu to open dialog window. Select Installation Details, and check jar files on the Plug-ins tab. 33/33
