2 Overview Based on current hardware and software technologies, Pearson has determined that the system requirements listed in this document will deliver acceptable operation and performance for the GradPoint product. Your site s actual performance may vary due to different configurations, including the following: Available network bandwidth Client security configuration Number of concurrent users Courseware usage Other variables System requirements are subject to change because of rapid advances and changes in technology, as well as future product enhancements. If you have questions regarding the suitability of your specific computing environment, contact your Pearson Sales Representative or Sales Engineer. Note: Thin client solutions (NComputing, Citrix, Wyse, HP Thin Clients, etc.) have not been through Pearson quality assurance testing and are not fully supported. We recommend pre-testing the application in your environment in advance. Contact your Pearson Sales Engineer to discuss this implementation in more detail. 4 Client Specifications These specifications are intended strictly as a guideline. They were developed in an environment free from network congestion, resource contention, and aggressive security measures. Consider the minimum requirements applicable only if your workstations use a minimally configured and supported browser, a minimally configured virus scanner, and only this Pearson application. Clients GradPoint is an entirely web-based application that only interacts with a browser. Any OS that can use the supported browsers is acceptable. It needs at least: Screen resolution 1280 x 960 or greater recommended (lower resolutions may require scrolling) 128 MB graphics memory recommended Any Creative Labs or 100% compatible sound card Any headset (optional) And installed: Internet Explorer 7.x, 8.x, 9.x, 10.x, or 11.x (native mode only) Mozilla Firefox (all versions) Google Chrome (all versions) Safari (all versions) Java Script and Active X must be enabled in the browser Adobe Flash Player 10.x or higher Adobe Shockwave 10.x or higher Adobe Reader (latest version) Arial Monospaced (True Type) font Microsoft Office or other application that can open.xls and.doc files Local application that can open.zip file Mobile Devices Supported Chromebook (all versions) ipad (all versions) o Puffin Academy application browser required o No other browsers supported on ipad device Document last updated on October 1, 2014 Page 4 of 5

Network Bandwidth Requirements Internet District/School: Home: DSL connection or a Broadband connection is required. For school implementations, this product will average about 64Kbit/s per client but will have burst uploads well above and below that average. This is the expected per user bandwidth over time that each client will consume over your Internet pipe.
