After using the center blocks function it does now automatically the recalculation of the connection points. At rotation of a picture by 180 it draws not the picture rotated. Before is doesn't. Now the mouse wheel is supported for zoom in any mode. With Ctrl+ mouse wheel you can zoom in and out. The center function supports now also drawing lines. At calculation of stitches with input by pairs of points the stitch density is now always computed correctly. At input by pairs of points was sometimes the area drawn filled while no stitches are calculated. When deleting the first pair of points now the starting point is moved to the new first pair. when pull compensation is used, now the first and last stitch does also have the pull compensation. When inserting a block in punching mode at design end the block is now always correctly inserted at the design end. Sometimes it did not calculate the trimming between letters correctly. When changing a border from the border library it sometimes did not show the correct library and the correct parameters. With Version 4.0 came an automatically pull compensation at lettering. Now this is removed because this changes the view of some letters. The conversion of TrueType fonts is optimized. Now the user can select the letters he wants to have included in the font. At MSCI machines sometimes the connection to the machine was cancelled when the machine was not in the ribbon mode. The ringbuffer display was not correctly updated in ZSK MSCI mode.

(1/10. mm) are now set in mm. When used in the MSCI machine, now the menus are structured, so they do not come inside the reserved area for the machine. In the borders out of the border library, now the underlay stiches are divided, if the border with is larger than 7 mm. The fixing stitches are now made at the inside of the borders. In some cases the special functions were not displayed in the toolbar. Now this is corrected. When loading a design directly from Diskette to the editor, it could not be embroidered until it is saved to the harddisk. (Error fffffffe in View.cpp) Now it is possible to save this design also. When loading a stitch data file, it did automatically optimize needle changes where the needle keeps the same. Now these needle changes are kept to be available for editing. In the template settings only designs from the GiS Folders can be selected now. Insertion of lines in a template is now again possible. Now the font size is corrected automatically if selected too large for the frame size. When stepping through the template with the arrow keys now the actual line is always scrolled into view. After changement in the template settings the already entered lines are corrected to the new values. Now a comment for each template can be given in the first page.

When used as small letters the contours of true type fonts are corrected. When the punching option is in use, now all stitch parameters can be set also in monogramming. When changing the size of the circle, now the text laying on this circle is also moved. Until now it was only possible to make GiS-Fonts thicker. Now also all P-Fonts and TT-Fonts can be changed in thickness. For this fonts the extension of the thickness will be given in mm. Sometimes there was trimming inside of separate parts of characters even if the trimming length was not reached. This occurred only after conversion to coordinates. Now the trimming length is checked always. The macro selection is greyed now when inserting outer contour for structured fill. When inserting a new automatic program directly after another automatic program the starting point of the new program is calculated correctly now. When deleting more than one stitch type at a time in the save stitch type dialog, the program created duplicate entries in the list. The order of embroidery is now minded when saving macros out of a group. The calculation of stitches has been improved When inserting stitch direction lines it does not use the newly entered density only for the inserted stitch direction line and not for the complete program. Now the input mod for base line and upper length has been changed, so each letter can be sized to the given base line and upper length. The input of left and right spacing has been improved. Now it is possible to add letters to the fonts afterthought The speed of navigation through a design with activated alphanumeric stitch display has been improved dramatically. With activated Punch 1 or Editor option it is now possible to view a repeat grid for designs depending of the design type. At multihead designs with head selection the grid distance is the head distance, at shiffli designs the grid distance is the needle distance. With activated Punch 1 or Editor option the Repeat view can be selected at multihead designs with head selection or at shiffli designs. Now the Repeat jump is correctly calculated at head selection. Also it selects after head selection the stitch after so everything runs correctly when continueing punching. An error which occurred during Head selection entry at design start is removed. It is no longer possible to remove the block marker at the beginning of a character from monogramming Sometimes there was an error when converting needles to stops at block beginning. This is corrected. Also it is no longer possible to change the start needle to stop. Removing of Sequin on/off functions was not always possible, now corrected. Now the film function is also available for users with only monogramming option so they can change the order of embroidery. Now the Film strip can be displayed in multi column view to have a better overview for changing the order of embroidery. The multi column view is activated when the film is undocked. Changing between docked and undocked state is done with double clicking to the header line of the film. Also the film can be docked at the right, top or bottom side.

5 PCX Export PCX Export File management Import and Export of designs ProductionManager (Version 1.04) Selection of designs for use in a template When using PCX Export it was not possible to leave the dialog when Rotation not 0 was used in the last printout. Now this is corrected. At large designs was an error during calculation of dpi count. Now it is possible to import and export designs in different formats to and from Hard disk and other media. The connection to the client is improved so the file names are transmitted more accurately and are displayed correctly at the receiver s side. In the template settings only designs from the GiS Folders can be selected now. The parameter for underlayer step length was not set correctly for all font types. Now it calculates the correct Start and end stitch also for underlayers in TrueType fonts. When changing the curve it displays and recalculates the text now always correctly The distances to the dots at letters "ijäöüäöü" are shortened for "Semiss". The font "Black Chancery" is extended with the letters "ÄÖÜäöü". The letters in "Aston" suit now better together. Now it calculates the correct Start and end stitch also for underlayers in structured fill. The calculation of overlap is improved. The errors which came up with Version 4.02 are removed. Now 2 Sequin devices are supported. The calculation of pairs out of center line is improved. The calculation of the contour underlayers needed for complex fill is now more accurate.

Now version numbers 0 99 are permitted. When reading or writing ZSK Transport code it does now recognize 2 sequin devices. It is now possible to hide the trimmings in the TrueView view. The function end needle = start needle does now work correctly also when adding letters to a design. Now the needle changes are always correct. When changing the density in the template settings, the value was not always recognized. When loading a design in a template in front of the lettering, the start needle of the design is now recognized as start needle of the template and duplicated needle changes are removed. The system crash when inserting a letter to a text when there is a design following is now removed. When using Windows XP the hot spots were displayed also at text to curve and envelope. Now the stitch direction is saved correctly when using the TrueType font as outer contour. When changing the font the absolute boldness set for a true type font is no more used for the GF font.

At TT fonts the lock stitches at the beginning of a letter are now made up to 1 mm inside the letter and not at the edge. The calculation of stitches for TT fonts is improved and problems with not completely filled letters are solved. In overlap areas the stitch calculation is improved to avoid gaps in the stitches. When punching a triangle as fill the contour underlayer does now correctly use the underlayer distance. After changing of parameters the density changed in some cases to This caused an infinite loop in the calculation. Problem is solved. The input button for the stitch direction is changed to make clear, that only straight stitch direction is possible. The colors for drawing block can be set also for more than one block selected. The view of the alphabet list on the left side is now also with Windows XP and "Symbol" fonts possible. When importing designs to shiffli designs, there were needle changes created which are normally not allowed there. This is solved. The input of needle changes by using the film function is removed in Shiffli designs. Now it is possible to print out designs with version numbers higher than 31 Now it is possible to print all background pictures also with Windows XP. With some printer drivers the printout of the machine heads is

8 mirrored. Now this can be inverted with a setting in the file GiSBasePac21.ini. For this, insert the value StickkopfGespiegelt=1 to the section [Druck Einstellungen]. File management Double click to shiffli design in windows explorer does not work. When using virtual drive "@: Import" it was possible to press "Pictogramm" button, which causes a program fault. Problem is solved. It is not possible to remove files in the ZSK Memory, because this is only allowed for the Machine software. Now the recycle bin is grayed and the "Del" key is not accepted. Now the default currency in the design head is used from the currency setting in Windows control panel. The recognition of Needle patterns is imroved and they are saved in ZSK EPC compatible form. The conversion of needle changes and sequins is improved when loading and saving ZSK Transport code. When loading ZSK stitch data without optimizing it creates now also needle 8 to 14 and no more needle 7 + x. In the Folder list there were sometimes not all folders displayed when switching from a drive with more folders to a drive with less folders. Now this is corrected. Up to now it was not possible to load the design administration at such a computer. The message "Floppy2k.sys not loaded or missing" was displayed. Now it is possible to open the design administration also at such a computer. In the GiS design administration it is now possible to move folders up and down. Problem is solved. In the list for the needle changes an additional sequential number is displayed. Common things Center Monogramming Long underlay stitches in PF Fonts Error correction BasePac 21 Version 4.05 In the center function was the upper and lower distance reversed. Now the upper distance is used at the top and the lower distance is used at the bottom. When using PF Fonts it now recognizes the setting for the

9 shortening of under layer stitches and does not produce long stitches for under layers in curves anymore, when the shortening factor is given. Now the marker for changed coordinates is saved with the design and is again active after loading the design. When using PF and SF Fonts, now changed letters can be saved to the font. There was an error in saving design using repeat patterns which could crash the EPC-Unix system when loading the design there. This has been corrected. In the start condition, now always the correct repeat pattern is recorded. When printing multiple designs with different design version numbers it sometimes makes the wrong order or did not print all designs or crashes. This is corrected. In the MSCI Monogram software the Export and Import drives are no longer present, because this function is not supported by the MSCI Monogram software. On output to ZSK Ring buffer or memory now the design is optimized. Missing trimming functions are add and too short stitches are eliminated. The selection dialog for ZSK memory is enhanced and a search function was added. Error correction BasePac 21 Version 4.06 Global Border library Sequin view Template function Program hangs at start up When creating a design with only a border from the border library the needle of the border was not used as start needle in the design. This caused additional needle changes and additional stitches when this design is used in a Text template. In TrueView Sequins are shown also now. If the template has too large values for Embroidery field or tag number it could cause a program hang during start up.

The calculation is optimized. The start point is now allowed to be at a hole or additional outline. The calculation is optimized. After cleaning of coordinates, now the stitches are calculated automatically. Is there no standard printer set, it show a printer selection dialog before starting the print dialog. The setting in this dialog is now accepted and afterwards the print dialog opens. In print and statistics option the sequins are now also printed..jpg (JPEG) format is now supported. There is no more error message coming up. When copying to ZSK Memory it is now possible to enter full design numbers with 8 digits number and 2 digits version. When changing the ZSK Memory folders it is no longer needed to have all connected machines active. Also it is no longer needed, that the path has the \ZSK\ part. When viewing pictograms in ZSK Memory there was a bug in Version 4.05 that is caused a failure when the memory is opened directly when the dialog is opened. This is corrected. It is now possible to remove designs in ZSK Memory, if this memory is not located on a machine. (Is located on a machine, it is possible to remove the designs with the machine software) In Pictogram and Design view the sequins are shown now also. In the design head now the symbol is allowed at the currency.

11 Design list Check Data In the directory it is now shown in the data type if the design holds Head selection (-H), Shiffli (-Sh), Sequin (-Pa), Borer (-B) or Laser (-L) s. At such designs a tool tip is shown, when the mouse is moved over the data type. Version numbers > 31 At the tool GiS Data Check are now version numbers > 31 supported. With previous versions this version numbers could cause errors. Laser Support of Laser machine made by S.E.I. A new option was built, which enables the input of special functions for controlling the laser equipment for Embroidery machines built by S.E.I. When exporting designs with such functions, it extracts the needed control data from the stitches to separate files for Laser cutting. Now the fixing stitches are calculated at the correct position again. Now it is possible to abort the Backup process if there is no formatted media inserted. At some new computers (specially Notebooks) is not internal 3,5" Disk drive mounted. With external USB Disk drives it is not possible to work with "non DOS compatible" Disks. Every-thing worked, if the switch "only DOS Disk formats" was checked. But if this was not checked, sometimes the computer crashed, when tried to connect to the USB drive. Now the access to "non DOS compatible" Disks is blocked if a USB disk drive is found. When centering grouped texts with Envelope it moved sometimes the blocks to wrong locations. Now the centering works correctly. The button for repeat jump is now moved back to the right position in the parameter line. When joining all block it made in seldom cases a program fault. Now this is corrected. When using "closed curve" in pairs input it could create a

At some.jpg (JPEG) files the program closed during loading. This fault is corrected. The display of activation of save options in the menu is now correctly made. The total number of stitches is now correctly calculated and written to the design head. In version 4.06 was the time consumption for saving designs in some cases significantly increased. This is now speeded up. In some cases the program could not be started because the floppy disk driver could not be loaded. This is now corrected. new in 4.07a Call of Density adjustment, Coordinate processor and Satin stitch correction Editing Precision at the insertion Automatic underlay Design administration Save to ZSK Memory Export Floppy Disk access Settings Sequins Error correction BasePac 21 Version 4.07a The function for density adjustment, coordinate processor and satin stitch correction had not been called even if the editor option was activated. Now it functions as expected. The precision at copying and insertion from stitch blocks was improved, so small postponements are avoided particularly with special functions. The calculation for Fill underlay at Outer contour filling was improved. Now the pictogram folder is created automatically if not existing and the Pictograms are saved. When the memory space is not enough when exporting designs it will now show an error message. Previously there was no error message but the file was corrupt. With the access to diskettes, hindrances can occur if a virus scanner is active since this refuses the access to not DOS'S compatible diskettes. Now, the virus scanner can be deactivated for such cases during the access to diskette. The settings for the design administration can now also be selected through the GiS Symbol in the Title bar of the main design administration dialog. Now designs with sequin functions can be loaded and stored correctly to Tajima Disks.

Now, the thread cut is executed also at the last embroidery field. Now, also overlapping patterns can be sent to the machine in connection with a ZSK machine with ribbon equipment. (If the machine is able to do this) With the call of the font selection and aborting with Cancel or ESC, a smaller value for the font size was stored. Now, the previous value is retained. At transfer to Tajima or Brother machine, the transfer could properly not be cancelled if the machine doesn't assume the data. Now, it can also be cancelled here. Monogram Error correction BasePac 21 Version 4.07b Dear User, unfortunately we are no longer allowed to distribute our font types Helvetica and Times, because the rights of the Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG had been violated. That's why we replace these font types with our fonts GiS Swiss and GiS Serif. Editing Delete of additional contours in letters When deleting additional contours in letters (p.e.: i-dot) there were sometimes a program fault which is now corrected. Recalculation Special functions Punch Center line input Design administration Export Design type extension H, -P, It was possible to use running options with the editor option only activated which are not allowed. When changing/deleting special functions which follow immediately after a needle change there were sometimes wrong function codes inserted instead of deleted. When inputting center line with crossovers it cal-culated the pairs of points not correctly in Version 4.07a. Now this is correct. This belongs also to Line-ACE and Border library. During export of files now the file-extension is checked and replaced with a valid one if necessary. The type extensions are now removed if the corre-sponding special function is removed from the de-sign.
