1 Premier+ Configure Page 1 Customize your Personal Settings 1. Open Premier+ Configure from the Premier+ Embroidery desktop icon or from the Start Menu/Premier+ Embroidery System program folder. Utilities Tab 2. In the Utilities Tab, click Check Installation. 3. In the Premier+ Installation Check menu, click Check. All the modules will be listed, and should have green check marks beside Installed. Click Close. 4. The Utilities tab also contains the Registration, Dongle Activation, and Smart Update links which take you to the Registration Database online. 5. Click Start Machine Communication and the Smart Machine Communication icon will appear in the System Tray on the Taskbar. Connect to a compatible embroidery machine with its included USB cable and you can send directly to the machine with no further setup. 6. Use Backup MySettings to save your custom settings like MyThreads, Quick Color Themes, MyMotifs and MyFills. You would want to Backup MySettings before moving to a new computer. 7. Use Restore MySettings to restore the MySettings previously saved by Backup MySettings. 8. Use Reset All Modules to set all toolbars and control panels exactly as they were when the software was installed. 9. Use Reset File Associations for embroidery files, embroidery design files, cross stitch files, and family tree files. This may be required if other embroidery software or Explorer Plug-Ins have been installed after the Premier+ Embroidery System, or if 6D Explorer Plug-in was previously installed. Reset File Associations will allow you to choose which software module opens when you double-click to initiate a file from an icon in the Premier+ Explorer Plug-in KSIN Luxembourg II, S.a.r.l. 2 Appearance Tab Page In the Colors box, you can change the Background color, Texture, and Grid color. 11. In Screen Layout, you can change the color theme of the toolbars with Styles. 12. Measurements in Real Size ensures you see designs in true size when at 100% Zoom, and that your templates print accurately. Since computer screens and displays vary in size, use a ruler to measure the length of the gridded bar, and then type in the measurements in mm or inches. Import Tab Select your preferred unit of measurement from either mm or inches. 13. In the Import Tab, select a preferred thread range from the list to assign a thread range to embroidery formats that don t use standard thread color changes, such as some commercial formats. Thread ranges set by the digitizer will remain as set by the digitizer. Export Tab 14. Use the settings in the Export Tab to select your preferred default settings that appear each time you select Export in a module. For example, you might prefer not to ColorSort automatically, so that can be turned off in Optimize for Sewing. 15. The Decorations box allows you to determine how you want to handle decoration placement stitches. 16. Hoop Orientation lets you determine if you want the software to automatically rotate a design created in rotated orientation to fit the natural hoop position. You can also allow it to automatically flip the design if felting needles are detected. 17. Splitting for Multi-Purpose Hoops allows you to determine which kind of split method you need, and the amount of tolerance, as well as adding alignment stitches. 18. Export File Name gives you the opportunity to automatically append a phrase to the file name when exporting so you know the file is ready to stitch. Click OK to close Premier+ Configure KSIN Luxembourg II, S.a.r.l. PREMIER+ is a trademark of KSIN Luxembourg II, S.ar.l.. All rights reserved.

Other items have the word tree in their Notes or Settings fields. 3. In the Search box, type notes:cutwork. Searches that use correct search criteria and are typed properly will appear blue in the search box. If the text appears grey it is usually due to the search tag being mistyped or the colon is missing. Files that contain the word cutwork in the Notes field appear. 4. In the Search box, type notes:decoration. Files that contain the word decoration in the Notes field appear. Decorations are a new type of design in Premier+ Embroidery.
