4 Part I Foreword Chapter 1 Product Introduction IQClass Plus software is a web-based education software compatible with all mainstream browsers, featuring lesson file delivery and student-teacher collaboration. There is no installation required and software will upgrade itself silently. Users can save files with personal cloud, share files through QR code and operate the same file simultaneously through multi-screen interaction. IQClass Plus software is integrated with powerful features as partly listed below: Web- and cloud-based software Files are shared between teachers and students and stored in the cloud. Multi-Screen Interactive Students and teacher can work simultaneously one same work space. Creating QR Code to Share Scan the QR code with your mobile devices to share resources between PC/smart phone/pad. Compatible with All Popular Browser/O.S Display optimized screen in accordance with the screen resolution of the smart device display Embed third-party content, including website, YouTube video, pictures and text. Chapter 2 Log in, Register and Update 2.1 System Requirement As long as the network runs well, the users can use IQClass Plus software by accessing the website Update There is no need for manual upgrade as IQClass Plus software will update itself silently. 3

5 Part II IQClass Plus User Guide Chapter 1 Features Introduction 1 Object IQClass Plus software offers various objects, including pen, text, graphics, marker and line. Users could generate any object and change its property to achieve more effects, which at the same time is full of fun and imagination. 1.1 Create objects Pen, Marker, Line and Graphic Pen Tools Icons Effects 4

8 Notice Refer to Property section for more details Picture Load a picture & sound file IQClass Plus supports to load pictures by four methods as follows. 1) My picture & sounds 2) Library 3) Shared pictures 4) Search online Refer to the table below for introduction of methods listed above NO. Methods Description 1 My picture& Two ways to open desired picture & sounds sounds 1) Input search word in the search box to select and show any picture or sound file that is saved in my file portal before from the list. 2) Click upon Choose file to select file from local disk, such as selecting a sound file and users can view progress bar of upload. When finished, pull&drag the uploaded file to the page, as shown in the figure below. 7

10 Photo Property Notice Refer to Property section for detailed introduction of photo property Sound and Movie Users can drag & drop a sound or video file directly from website or local file to the software workspace. It takes time for software to load the file. For example, drag a sound file from desktop to the workspace, when the load is finished, sound file will appear, click to play the music and to pause playing, as shown in the figure below. 9

13 1.2.2 Property General Properties Click to select objects, then property page will appear. For example, use selection tool to choose text object IQClass Plus, then the text property will be listed, as shown in the figure below. Line Advanced Property For all objects, these advanced properties are available, as shown within red square in the figure below. Refer to the table below for details. NO. 16 2 Link Set hyperlink for objects, connecting them to specific URL or sounds. 3 Arrange Arrange selected objects by setting the position, align mode, size or gap. 4 5 Lock Animate Select object and click lock, which means the object can t be operated anymore until it s unlocked. Set action and trigger mode from the dropbox below to finish setting of animation. 6 Shadow Add shadow effect to selected objects 15

17 7 Overlay Select an object and set its overlay type over other objects. There are four types for choose, including top layer, higher payer, lower layer and bottom layer. 2 Teaching Tools IQClass Plus software is available for kinds of teaching tools, making it convenient for teachers to conduct teaching activity and adding more interests in daily teaching. Teachers can generate a QR code to share contents with students, record teaching process and embed video into current IQClass Plus workspace. 2.1 Measure Tools 1 NO. 18 4 Protractor 2.2 Embed, Record, Camera and QR Code Embed Video/Sound Steps: Click and select first item in the list, as shown in the figure below. Then embed window will appear. Users can enter a website URL or embed code. 17

19 For example, users can input the and confirm it with ok, then the website will appear. Click to view the website, or click to edit the website. Or users can load a video from YOUTUBE website into the software. Firstly user need s to paste the code from the information tag and copy them into the embed window and confirm it with ok, then the video will show, as shown by figures below Record Sound Steps: Click and select record sound in the list, as shown in the figure below. 18

20 Record window will appear, click Allow to connect to audio devices. Users can click to start recording sounds, click to pause recording and click to play recorded sound. Users can also click Add to page so that the record file will show up in the current page. 19

21 NOTE: Please connect to the microphone or any audio input device before recording sound Camera Steps: Click and select camera in the list, as shown in the figure below. Camera window will appear. Click Allow to connect to camera devices. 20

23 NOTE: Please ensure that the computer or smart devices or pad have built-in camera before activating the camera function Embed QR Code Steps: Click and select embed QR code in the list, as shown in the figure below. 22

24 Users can enter a URL, text or a map address to create a QR code. For example, input the website address and confirm it with OK, then the QR code will be created., as shown in the figures below. Scan the QR code to enter the website. 23

25 2.3 Talk Steps: Firstly, users need to input texts and select the texts with selection tool. Click talk icon to make the software read out the selected texts. 2.4 Curtain Steps: Click to add curtain in the current page. Users can pull it up or down to adjust the coverage area, as shown in the figures below. 24

For teachers, they could prepare courseware in 27

29 advance and save them into My File, open the file in the classroom and share them with students by scanning the QR code. Moreover, teachers can manage files sent by students after class to follow up and evaluate their learning performance. 4.1 Create, load and save files IQClass Plus supports cloud-based platform. Users are allowed to create, load and save files. NO. 31 My files All of your own files will appear here, all files imported directly and all files created in the IQ Class Plus application Shared files Files that pupils have shared with you By clicking the shared symbol a popup appears that tells you the name of the file, with whom it is shared and who has created it. (Here Jessica has shared her file selfie with teacher Admin) 30

32 Pupil files Here you get an overview of all students in the school organized in classes. Click a class folder and you ll see folders containing the files of all pupils attending this class, by clicking upon a student s folder you get to see all files created by this pupil. If you check box list files you can see inside the folders and see all the files, or you can click upon a folder to open just that one. Here we have opened Chen s folder and find her file 31

33 for moderation If a pupil wants to share a file with another user, the file will show up in the teacher s portal for moderation. (Here we have 6 files waiting for moderation by the teacher) The teacher can now approve or reject the file. Only approved files will be allowed for sharing Drop files here You can import images, audio- or video files from your computer per drag & drop onto the drop 32

34 file here square, it is possible to mark multiple files and import them at once. The imported files will be displayed in the my files section of the portal. For better organize files, you could add a folder to put them into. Just click the folder icon and give it a name. If you click the i at the upper right corner of the image you get a choice of possibilities just like in the IQ Class Plus application, you can cut, delete, rename, add tag, use it in IQ Class Plus, change it over to someone or share it. 33

35 4.3.2 Search, arrange, delete files & create a folder In the upper area of my files portal, users can search, arrange, delete files, as shown in the figure below. NO. 36 My settings Click on Admin in the top right corner, then users can sign out or as an administrator only switch to the manage user portal or change your password or the language under the my settings options, as shown in the figure below. 5 Multi-screen Interactive This section is to explain a highlight feature of IQClass Plus multi-screen interaction. Nowadays, applying technology into education will bring more joy and interaction between students and teachers. With the same purpose, IQClass Plus enables users to share resources by multiple methods so that multiple users can view and operate on the same file even with different devices, such as PC, pad and smart phone. 5.1 Share resources by QR code Steps: Click load button to open files saved in my file portal before Select the file that is to be shared from the file list, right click on the file to select Share, then choose publish. 35

37 Click I icon of the file, and operation list will show up, as shown in the figure below. Then click QR code. After clicking QR code, the software will create a unique QR code for the selected file. 36

38 Users can use their smart phones or pads to scan the code so that they can enter the software and view the file at the same time. After users log in the software, they can conduct simultaneous writing on the same workspace. For example, students can use their smart phone to write on the screen and all the contents will be shown at the same time, as shown in the figure below. The top left corner will show how many viewers, and these users can chat by using chat box below, as shown in the figure below. 37

39 5.2 Share resources by link/ Steps: Click load button to open files saved in my file portal before Select the file that is to be shared from the file list, right click on the file to select Share, then choose publish. Click I icon of the file, and operation list will show up, as shown in the figure below. Then click share. 38

40 After clicking share, the share window will pop up, as shown in the figure below. Users can select another user who ll receive the shared files by clicking. There are three optional modes to share files, which are Publish, Password and Private mode. 39

41 6 Manage Users Only administrators have the additional ability to enter the Manage Users portal. Administrator can have the overview of all users to the account with their username, display name, the amount of files created by the individual user, the first- and surname, the address, the class they re in and see if it is a teacher or a pupil, as shown in the figure below. 40

42 6.1 Basic Operation Administrator can search a user and organize users of his/her school, like adding and deleting users and reset their password. 43 selected user 6.2 CSV file import/export Administrators can export user list as a csv file and save the file. To add a great amount of new users, administrators can use csv import option, as shown in the figure below. Export CSV Click upon the export CSV button to export current user list as a csv. File, and the browser will automatically download the file. Import CSV Click upon the import CSV button and select the csv file to be imported on your computer, then enter your password and click OK to confirm. 42

44 Now all the imported Users are displayed in your Manage Users portal. Attention The list that can be imported consists of 6 columns in the order: user, first, surname, , class, type. Only the user column must contain information, so if the imported file only includes 2 columns, like username and class. Please make it sure to insert 3 columns between user and class. Otherwise the information may be filled into the wrong columns. 6.3 Manage Classes Click upon the manage users button to enter the interface. Administrators can search, add, delete and rename a class. 43

45 When clicking the digit in the user s column, these users will now be displayed highlighted in the main menu. To reset a user s password just check the grey box before the user and click upon the reset password button to set a new password and confirm this with OK.. 44
