1 The is a feature that allows you to manage ExamCard libraries outside the scan environment. You can do this while another patient is scanned. You use the to create and modify ExamCards, but you cannot plan or run examinations in this tool. allows you to: Create a new ExamCard Open and modify an existing ExamCard The functionality in the used to change scan parameters is virtually identical to functionality in the scan environment. 2 The complete ExamCard database is accessible from the : Philips folder Hospital folder Other folder To change the display between the scan environment and the : Do one of the following: - Press ALT + TAB. - Click in the Patient Status area. 3 MR Information Sheet To open an existing ExamCard: Click Open ExamCard. The ExamCards library pane opens with the Hospital tab selected. To create a new ExamCard: 1. Click New ExamCard. The ExamCard Properties pane opens with the Basic tab selected. Required fields are indicated with a red asterisk. 2. Click in the ExamCard name text box and type the desired name. 3. Click the Age is less than 3 years check box. Uncheck if patient is > 3 years of age Koninklijke Philips N.V. (Royal Philips) Page 3

4 4. Click in the Weight is around text box and type the desired weight. 5. Select the anatomic reference for the ExamCard: - Anatomy - Sub anatomy - Laterality The Anatomy setting is important for customized settings which are used in the Image Display Settings feature. 6. In the Patient Position click the desired position. If needed, drag the scroll bar to see more options. 7. In the Coils section, click to select one or more coils. If needed, drag the scroll bar to see more options. 8. Click Close when finished to close the ExamCard properties pane. To add sequences to the Scan list: 1. Click Add new scan item Navigate to the sequence in the ExamCard library. 3. Click the Add button. 4. Repeat steps 1-3 to add additional sequences as needed. 5. When finished adding sequences, in the upper-right corner of the pane, click Close to close the ExamCard library. 6. If changes to sequence parameters are needed, open the scans and adjust parameters as with the scan environment. Release 5.3 Page 4 v1.0

5 MR Information Sheet Similar to modifying ExamCards in the scan environment you can use the ExamCard editor to: Rename sequence Add/delete scans Open scans Adjust parameters Accept changes The SED automatically updates with changes to scan parameters. 7. Click Save ExamCard. The ExamCard is saved to the Other/Saved folder. From the Other/Saved folder, the ExamCard can be moved into the Hospital folder. The options in the Advanced tab cannot be set until at least one sequence is added to the Scan list. To set the advanced ExamCard properties: 1. 7 MR Information Sheet To modify an existing ExamCard: 1. Click Open ExamCard. 2. Select the folder where the ExamCard is located. 3. Do one of the following to add the ExamCard to the Scan list: - Drag and drop the ExamCard to the Scan list. - Click the ExamCard name and then click the Add button. 4. Modify scan parameters for each sequence as desired. Similar to modifying ExamCards in the scan environment you can use the ExamCard editor to: Rename sequence Add/delete scans Open scans Adjust parameters Accept changes 5. Click Save ExamCard. A dialogue box pops up when the Hospital ExamCard folder is locked. When Unlock ExamCards Database and continue is selected another dialogue box opens to decide whether you want to overwrite the existing ExamCard in the database Koninklijke Philips N.V. 8 Click yes to overwrite the existing ExamCard. The ExamCard is saved in the original location in the Hospital folder. Alternatively you can rename the ExamCard before saving. The renamed ExamCard is added to the original location in the Hospital folder. When saved to the Saved folder, the ExamCard can be moved from the Other/Saved folder into the Hospital folder. To add SmartExam features to the ExamCard: 1. Click the Add SmartSurvey button. 2. Select the desired SmartExam anatomy from the drop down menu. 3. Check or uncheck the box Add SmartSurvey to ExamCard. 4. Select SmartGeometry as desired for each scan: a. Select or clear the Smart check box for each Geometry to be used. b. In the Replace With field, enter the desired SmartGeometry. 5. Click Apply. 6. Click Close. Release 5.3 Page 8 v1.0
